I was pretty disgusted when I came in a couple days ago at 5:30pm dinner time and was met by a single employee who looked to be maybe 17 years old running the whole restaurant, while making my order he revealed to me he had only been there for 5 days and had been left there alone because someone called in for their shift. He had His hands and voice were shaky and he was very clearly stressed out beyond belief. The kid was moving as fast as he could but had a pile of online order receipts on the counter waiting to be made and had to tell the customer who made in after me that he would have to do the online orders before making theirs and their wait would be at least 20min before he could get to them. How is it in any way acceptable to put an employee through this; especially someone clearly young, inexperienced, and probably makein minimum wage? How is there not a manager or an assistant manager there to step in and help in this situation, or at least to tell him to put up a sign and close the walk-in service so he could attempt to keep up with the drive-thru and delivery orders. Beyond that, being so rushed and very new the sandwich I left with was disappointing to say the least. Management need to figure their business and scheduling out here. Employees and customers shouldn't be subjected to this. Find a way to make your restaurant work, even if that means closing a section of your services to make other parts adequate ( I.e. close the lobby like so many other businesses have done when they're this understaffed.). I'll try them again in a week, and if the situation is similar they won't have my...
Read moreNormally it isn’t bad but today (9/28 @ 3:30p) I ordered my saved sandwich on my online account (so I know I didn’t screw up the order, also the receipt shows that I didnt) Turkey bacon, LTO, jalapeños, and banana peppers with chipotle southwest. First no bacon, second about triple the amount of southwest sauce (basically mayo soup sandwich), and no banana peppers and a boatload of jalapeños. I am a chef at a local resort so I understand long hours and short staff. However, completely ignoring my order and having zero competence to double check your ticket and order is ridiculous. How can you work at a sandwich shop and barely make a sandwich? Second, my girlfriends sandwich also doesn’t have bacon on it as well. That’s $4 total in up charges for something I didn’t receive. I’m not mad, just disappointed. I only gave a second star because they normally aren’t bad but very inconsistent.. at a place that’s entire business model is consistency..
Photo is of my girlfriend’s sandwich without bacon..
Edit: I have had a few good experiences there lately but now there’s a bunch of new people and they screws up my online order again. I order two of the same sandwiches which are exactly the same. I get Italian hens and cheese. One had it and the other did not. Not a huge deal but please read your tickets. I’ve worked in many kitchens. It’s not that hard..Do better please. Making subs isn’t a hard task and I did it for years in the past. Simple, read the whole ticket before making it, then double check the ticket....
Read moreSandwich Tec’s were somewhat friendly, the food was reasonably fresh, but the store was not very clean. My biggest complaint is when the Sandwich Tec’s do not wash their hands before they re-glove, especially with covid still going on. It’s one thing to not change cloves if all they are handling are sandwiches, but when they are multitasking, i.e., touching multiple surfaces while making sandwiches, that is cross contamination.
I know every minute counts when they have a line of people at the counter and drive-up window, but that is not always the case, and there is no excuse for not taking the 20 seconds to wash their hands before they re-glove.
Most people will not say anything to the Sandwich Tec’s. Many people may not care. nevertheless, I would rather wait while the sandwich tec takes the 20 seconds to wash their hands and re-clove, than not, and risk contaminating my food.
I doubt my review will change anything as some employees simply do not care to follow the rules. I personally know a couple store managers that are very strict regarding the hand washing policy, and their employees follow that rule religiously, even when the manager is...
