We went to Huckleberry's to celebrate some birthdays in the family. I had never been there before. Now I can't wait to go back again! The staff was great, the food was amazing and the restaurant is kept up very nicely. After entering the restaurant we were greeted by a staff member and then we were taken to our seats. Like I said I had never been here before but once I saw that items on the menu I could not wait to try everything. We were given enough time to look over the menu while we waited for our lovely server. There were lots of different items and combination items to choose from. It was great. I chose waffles, eggs, sausage and red potatoes. I took my waffles with huckleberry topping. Which had me making noises while I was eating. I also had a huckleberry mimosa which was also amazing. Most of my family had the waffles but combined them with food like ham and bacon. The kids menu was good too. Also since three people in our party had birthdays they gave us birthday treats. Lastly, the set up of the restaurant, I really liked. The entrance has it's own space and the tables are behind that. The restaurant has a lot of space. Seating from other tables was separate. You couldn't even see the other people eating from the booth I was in. It felt very private and safe from others. All in all we had a great time and we can't wait to...
Read moreI went to this location for the first time with my family food was great but service was horrible. We were seated quickly but were left in our booth for about 15min without anyone checking up on us a young lady came took our drink order left another 20min went by we got our drinks and again waited I want to say 25min for someone to come and take our order once they took our order I believe we waited about 45min for our food during all this we kept on asking the ladies what was going on no one seemed to really care they told us they were very busy but everyone around us was getting served very quickly and even they were getting checked on we not once got checked on once they brought our food we noticed the people that got seated shortly after us were already leaving (same party size as us). I also asked for a Togo cup didn’t receive it about 10min later while I kept on seeing the lady come and go checking on tables. I never write reviews or really complain about restaurants since my family and I are also in the same business and deal with a lot of people and understand it’s a very difficult job but these girls were absolutely horrible I’ve never felt so unwelcome in my life definitely has good food but will never return to...
Read moreWe go there or the Benicia grill about once a week On Sundays almost always a wait. No reservations. You can put in your name in person. They will call you when ready. You cannot call and put your name in.
Food is good 90% of the time. Consistent. Prices are reasonable. They have a kids menu and it comes with plenty of food.
Chicken n waffles, benedicts and scrambles all good. Have some lunch items that have been good. They serve mimosas, Bloody Mary's etc.... Not 40 percent alcohol.
No dish stands out as the best thing ever but all and all not bad .
One gripe I have is above the far wall tables they have low hanging lamps covered in dust. I have managed restaurants and commercial cleaning services in the past. I felt comfortable enough to mention it to our server a couple months ago. In a hush hush manner. She said oh my they are bad Today we sat at one of the tables with the lamps. They are at eye level when you stand up. They were even worse than before. A lite breeze and the dust would fall on your plate. You could write "clean me" on them and it would be as plain as day. But overall the restaurant seems...
