Not friendly!

My husband and I went to the Diner the day of our Anniversary. The restaurant was packed so we sat at the counter.

We were asked if we would like a drink, I ordered a water as I don't drink while eating my husband got a coffee. Waitress never said a word dropped the drinks off and immediately returned to eating at the pick up kitchen window. All 3 waitresses were eating. One was eating putting her fingers in her mouth and at one point licked them. Never washed her hands. DISGUSTING AND UNSANITARY.

We sat waiting to order our food for 10 minutes while they stood there chatting and eating. Um where was the service!!!

Finally we disrupted them to order at which time our waitress had an attitude, wasn't friendly when we asked about the meal options. We ordered she turned around again without saying a word to us. To me this was not proper service and VERY rude.

We had to interrupt again to get my husbands coffee refilled.

This waitress had time for herself to check her phone, eat her meal, and chat with other employees but not properly take care of us.

Right before we got up to leave an elderly man sat next to me , the same waitress adressed him with a smile, his name, and asked will it be your usual.

So my question why were we treated so badly? Is it because we were not regulars? We did get have a nice day by the older waitress that ate with her fingers.

I would NOT recommend or return to this...

Hubs and I went to the Blue Benn a few months ago and LOVED our breakfast!! I had the blueberry pancakes; which were light and fluffy, had a ton of blueberries in them and since the stack was too much for me to eat, I took a box home. They were equally good the next day!! Hubs had a ham and cheese omelet that he said was amazing!! We were in the area again and we were dying to try their lunch. I ordered the broiled haddock (love fried, but I'm trying to be fairly good) with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The waitress was very nice and asked if I would like gravy on my mashed.....yes please!!! A few minutes later she brought me cottage cheese (not coleslaw, but i love CC so I took it), then my fish. The gravy was just melted butter, which again...made the potatoes taste good, and maybe their idea of gravy is butter??? The haddock was tasty and the red bliss mashed were tasty. Hubs had a turkey club which he loved. It came with hand cut fries that were crispy and fresh. He also got blueberry pancakes ti try there, and take home. Those were spot on again!!!
