Kelli's Tavern — Restaurant in Bennington

Went here for my anniversary. Ordered Chicken Alfredo. Absolutely the worst I EVER had. No flavor. Heavy cream and a few chunks of garlic. I believe the cook messed up and didn't add salt, pepper, butter, Parmesan cheese or enough garlic. I WOULD have loved to tell my server, (btw her name was Emily E) that I was unsatisfied by my meal. Maybe than I could have ordered something I enjoyed. But unfortunately my server wasnt very attended. Never ONCE check on us. She was RUDE af to us when taking our order. I got to watch my husband eat on our anniversary. Than he ask for the bill. They refused to take off the meal I took 2 bites of. Than the SERVER HAD THE BALLS TO ASK ABOUT A TIP. Dadaq. Never would I give HORRIBLE service any tip. Calling management and HOPEFULLY they make my ruined anniversary a little better by offering a FULL REFUND of my meal at least!! My star rate is for the quality of the food; not the service. Our waitress was sweet and very apologetic. If I was to give her a star rating, it would be a 5. As far as the food—gross. I ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich…it was a chicken patty (yes, those frozen, quickly thawed cutlets from school) and they poured a puddle of hot sauce over top of it😑…the rest of the table ordered their meal with and without certain toppings for their bacon cheeseburgers (which all came with no bacon) but it didn’t matter because everyone got what the chef felt like putting on the burgers anyway. Our highlight of the meal was the appetizers; we ordered mozzarella sticks and wings; not the absolute best but not terrible. If I was forced to go back, I’d only go to the bar to have some drinks. That part of the establishment looked like it was thriving and the people didn’t seem to be complaining. Thanks again to our waitress who wasn’t anything...

We stopped in just after 4 pm on a Sunday not expecting it to be too busy. It was steady, but not overly crowded. We we were seated right away. As a party of 4 (2 small kids and 2 adults), our order wasn’t overly complicated. Our waitress was attentive, but that’s where it ends. The kitchen was terrible. The waitress had to come back 3 separate times to tell us they were out of something we ordered, and it took over ONE HOUR to get our food. When the food came out it was sub par at best. A few things were over cooked but we didn’t dare send it back. Don’t come here with kids Also, don’t come here unless you have an infinite amount of time.
