I’ve given this place plenty of chances before deciding to write a review, but the quality has been consistently disappointing. I’m writing this in hopes that the restaurant takes the feedback seriously and makes improvements.
For this visit, we ordered Japchae, Bahn Bahn (half beef/half pork), and fried chicken (not pictured)
Japchae: overpriced for what it was. The noodles were overcooked and lacked seasoning. Fried Chicken: We ordered the spicy soy garlic flavor. It was just okay, not terrible, but not worth the price either. Bahn Bahn: This was the most disappointing of all. The meat was so salty it was inedible, and we ended up having to throw it away. It almost seemed like there was an accident with the salt or soy sauce in this batch.
I wish this had been a one-off experience, but it’s been the same story across multiple visits and dishes. As a Korean-American, I really wanted to like this place. It’s the only Korean restaurant in Bentonville. But each visit somehow falls short of even modest expectations. I genuinely hope they take customer feedback to heart and work on improving the quality...
Read moreI was happy to find out nwa had KFC, and it satisfied the craving.
Service: 5/5 She offered recommendations, but not necessary from my end.
Texture: 5/5 The crunch did not disappoint. The crust rivals some I’ve had in NYC and Vancouver. Honestly better than pelicana and ne ne, which are very popular chains. (Although one of my wings was the greasiest I’ve ever had )
Size: 4.5/5 Other reviews did mention the size. I do agree (while still filling) the KFC lacks in size, but still a very good portion. Usually can only eat 5-6 wings, but I was able to stop at 8 without being aggressively full.
Glaze: 4.5/5 I had soy and spicy soy. Spicy was better, but both are “tame” in flavor. It’s just one block of flavor as opposed to different layers of flavor I’ve had before. However, this is very understandable given the demographics of the area. I do like that this isn’t overly sauced.
Price: 5/5 $15 for 10 wings is actually a very good price.
I did not ask, but pickled daikon would be...
Read moreI'm going to have to assume I came on a bad day. First off they have no beef until next Monday. No explanation just they're completely out of half of their menu. Secondly I ordered boneless wings they came with bones. Not the worst thing but not what I ordered. Third thing I ordered tteokbokki which cost $9 on "sale". They gave me ten tteokbokki. They were swimming in so much sauce it was an ocean. They do know these are made from rice right? They aren't expensive. They cause maybe a penny a piece to make? Completely ripped off here. The pah jeon we're horrible doughy bits of nonsense. I don't know what the hell they were thinking here but this is not pah jeon.
So I'm not sure if this is just a bad day or they live in the middle of the country so they think people don't know what good Korean is but this is terrible Korean. I have not actually had worse Korean anywhere in the world. I've had Korean on three different continents. This...
