So we were took about this place that serves a mean burger from some neighborhood friends. So this night, Thursday we four decided to go and for my wife and I to give it our first try.
The place is located of the square, nondescript kind of place that gives the vibe you're in store for something good. Menu consists of plenty of choices for burgers as well as nonbeef varieties, usually served with long slender fries.
We arrived at 6 sharp our guests were already seated. Place wasn't crowded yet only a few tables had guests but the bar top was full.
By 6:10/6:15 we ordered our meals. Wife orders the cheese curds and I chose the onion rings for an app. Her entree was the woo pig burger, I picked your typical mushroom and Swiss. Drinks came quickly and we settled for some dinner conversion. Not more than 10 minutes later, the onion rings arrive but no cheese curds. We enjoyed the onion rings while we waited on the other app.
About 5 minutes later, our guests wetter severed their entree. We waited. By now all the tables are full. 10 minutes passed with no cheese curds, no entree for the wife and I. Sever comes to check the table and we inquire about our meals and she apologies and will check on them. Another 10 minutes pass and other tables that came after us are now getting severed their entree. Our friend's have long finish their meal.
I decided I've had enough and went to collect or tab. One hour total time we spent there. I'm a reasonable person willing to wait on a good meal, within reason.
So, are the burgers awesome?!. Can't say.
I don't know if it was the Cooks fault, wait staff fault, training issue, management... Who knows. Seems they've been open long enough to have worked out most of the kinks but...
Read moreThis wonderful, local little gem really stole our hearts. My husband and I come to Bentonville 2-3 times a year for biking and we already love this town so much! We just happened to pass by The First Seat while walking through town and decided to come back later that night for dinner and drinks.
When we walked in, the place was PACKED to the brim. We found a seat against the wall, and lucked out when 2 seats opened at the bar. We soon made friends with the couple next to us, who happened to be the brother of one of the staff, Tommy. Lucy made our drinks, which were fantastic, and the food was dynamite. Tommy, Tracy, Lucy, along with the couple next to us all introduced themselves and really made us feel a part of the community/family. I can't wait to visit again, this will definitely be a place we look forward to coming back to each visit!
Oh, and as other reviews have noted, the fries are amazing! I am convinced you can't go wrong with anything...

I chose the Bentonville Hot Chicken sandwich and it was tasty though not as spicy as I'd have liked. Mrs. K. enjoyed her fish and chips. Looking back, getting the Truffle Parmesan Chips was a mistake - they were delicious but really, how many of these flat chips can you eat in one meal? Since we had chips as the sides on both our meals, maybe next time I'll choose something else and go with the wings, too.
Great friendly service, a nice little sports bar/pub with a good menu. It's not easy to find - the entrance is on the parking lot side. And you'll need to arrive early as it is a very small...
