This was my first visit to the Taco and Tamale Co, but it will not be my last. What a gem in downtown Bentonville. Lots of space, beautiful seating, and decor. Our food was amazing, and our server was very efficient, friendly, and good knowledge of the menu. I ordered the 3 pork tamales, and they were perfect. They were tender, moist, and full of flavors. We ordered the trio of sauces with Creamy Jalapeño, Salsa Rojo, and Verde. We were all happy with the choices. Chips were fresh and not too salty. One lady in our group got the Green Chile chicken tamales that came with a spicy salsa. She got it on the side, and I enjoyed it. It had a little spice but was also sweet. One lady got the pickle chicken tacos with black beans and cilantro rice. She was super excited about how good it was, and the portion size was not skimpy but also not too much. The last lady got the pickle chicken salad that was amazing looking, and she said it was very good. It was a great experience and will return.

I have been wanting to eat here ever since you guys opened. Tonight was mine and my families first time eating here. We got off work and came straight here. I was so hungry. I’m still hungry.

Tacos and tamales what can go wrong. Well…..

Now what my daughter and husband ordered. No complaints. Their food looked good and they both finished their plates.

Mine on the other hand wasn’t that great. Although it’s not your fault I can’t have anything with seeds in it. Just almost everything there had seeds. I tried to play it safe. So I ordered the enchiladas. It comes with two sides. When I asked about the seeds in the rice and the beans. The waiter said the rice had seeds. My husband and I told him I couldn’t have any seeds. It will literally put me in the hospital. So he asked “if I wanted 2 orders of beans”. I said “yes”. So I got 1 beef enchilada and 1 cheese. With two sides of beans. I told him I wanted sour cream sauce and he said “do you want that and the yellow cheese sauce”. I said “no I’ll go ahead and just take the yellow cheese sauce”. I get my food. There’s tomatoes. I take them off then the seeds that were left behind. I had to dig through all the melted cheese just to find the Little bitty beef enchilada. Never found the cheese one there was so much cheese. It was not cheese sauce neither. It was a blob of melted cheddar cheese. Have you ever tried to eat melted cheddar cheese? It doesn’t chew very well. I go to take a bit of the beans and there were seeds all over it. So I paid $15 for 1 child size beef enchilada. I walked in hungry and I left hungry. I had to go spend more money for me to eat. I was so excited about this place. It saddens me that I had to write...

Heads up that I'm in my fifties from Texas. We , party of 4, didn't check the local happenings.HUGE mistake. Santacon. I guess you dress up in Xmas oneses to go bar hopping.Lol. It was LOUD. This is NOT a Mexican food restaurant. This is a bar that serves food. You walk into the building and you are in the bar area. Beautiful building outside, clean inside. We were supposed to be seated at 6. No text to be seated. We checked with the nice hostess and they said 10 min. They texted at 6:25. We were seated. We ordered the plato 1947 , steak tacos , steak nachos, trio salsa-$5.00 , salsa and chips should be free. Heads up for the chilli powder, pickled onions and sliced jalapenos it's on a lot of things .Pico is supposed to be fine chopped tomatoes, onions, and pepper. It's not here. My tamale was sweet, yuk. The cheese in the cheese enchilada was not real cheese, the taco was spicy but not good. Smashed pinto beans are still refried beans. The ribeye steak on the steak tacos was good and tender. What was underneath the steak was not good. The steak nachos was the best. Sad. For all 4 of us it was over 100 bucks without any alcohol . On a lighter note. I think we did get to see some of Bentonvilles real house wives. They were dressed nice, had enough bling and fur coats on to make a rapper blush. Lol. Know I would bet we get an I'm sorry from someone at the restaurant. The fix would be to give us our money back but I'm sure that...

To be clear, this was my first visit. I ended up having the pulled pork tamales and the Po boy tacos. The po' boy tacos were actually really good. The shrimp was crisp as was the cabbage, the remoulade I felt didn't have a lot of flavor to it. The corn tortillas were fresh. As for the tamales, I'd have to rank them about average. They used a faux corn husk wrapper but unfortunately did not hold them together very well getting them out whole was impossible but was able to get them out in fairly sizable chunks. My anticipation for the chili topping on it was a little lackluster. The pulled pork and the tamales had some decent flavor though. I would absolutely try them again and try a few other tacos off their menu. I would add pictures but apparently there's already 204 of them at the time of this writing. The venue itself is well done I'll be at maybe a bit noisy due to the raw bricks and openness. They did have a private room with a semicircular table. It looks like it would seat eight comfortably maybe 10 if you're okay with close companionship. I went through the front door, it does not appear to be wheelchair accessible if there is another entrance, I'm not aware of it. Spent about $50 for the tacos (2), three tamales and a couple...
