This hotel is not worth the almost $200. a night we were charged!! 1st off I am a gold member, 2nd you had a very young girl working all by herself who put the charge on hold on my debit, we get room go up and we always check the bed first, thank god we did the other bed had stains on it and black hair on bottom sheet. we called and this young girl brought us clean sheets, never offered another room said she was working by herself tonight. My friend had went down to the car to get more stuff and came back telling the girl to get downstairs she would finish making the bed there were people waiting to check in, the mattress's slept very good when we got up the next morning our feet were black!! We go potty quit a bit at night, so I went into the bathroom there was black hair all over the tub and the floor, we were tired so we didn't check the bathroom that good after a 7 hr drive to get there! Was worried about the bedding and the bed, Boy we should have! I said we need to clean this, we needed to get ready for the wedding we drove there for and didn't have time to wait for someone to come clean and we would know that we cleaned it right, so fortunately she carries cleaning stuff with her because she has Lupus. My friend told Charles that we had issues with the bathroom, he was outside smoking at the front door! We commenced to cleaning the bathroom, OMG when we got done the towel was BLACK!! They said they had no extra rooms because of the 1st razorback game they were booked! We kept sneezing, found out it was a pet friendly hotel, we have cat and dog allergies, made for a miserable stay, then at check out we split the bill, I get home check my bank account still had the full amount taken out. So I call the hotel, Charles says well it could take up to 14 days since its a debit card, I said why didn't you say that I would have had my friend write me a check for her half, Now I have to wait for the hotel to release it back into my account 14 days REALLY???I went to my bank this morning and they said it was on the hotel end. I was to call back in the morning it shouldn't take that long to get that money back when the debt was honored! The gas stations put it right back why can't you?? All in all DO NOT STAY HERE UNTIL THIS PLACE SENDS SOMEONE WHO CAN TEACH THEM HOW CUSTOMER SERVICE IS!! They need a sign out front that says PET FRIENDLY Allergic people can have a pet free room!!!! Just ask. Or they could tell you all this, also about the holding of fees, Oh and they jack the price up for a football game cause we stayed at a La Quinta in Tampa Fla that didn't cost this much and was way cleaner and staffed with very friendly people and the room was clean!!!! Also stayed in Baton Rouge in a clean very friendly La Quinta. Its all in the management of the property and if the help cares about their job and are treated well! Oh and they had help wanted sign, yeah you need help alright! Also we totally refused to go in the pool if the room is like this the pool probably wasn't clean either. We saw no one was ever in it the whole time we stayed. If I was that young girl I would refuse to work by myself at night at this place!! And yes I am a property manager and I take care of my people and make sure we are staffed and if you can't clean you go out the door! And I check on my cleaning staff if they are doing their job! Very Sad made the stay horrible! Think about staying at this hotel! I see on here the price is $84. a night!! Try...
Read moreFirst of all, I have to say that the staff were very nice, professional, and accommodating. I was greeted with a big smile, gave my name, and got the door cards within 2 minutes. Since it was the afternoon, I was invited to the manager's hour and received a discount coupon for a restaurant nearby that I enquired about. Nice touches.
I thought the breakfast offered was superior to the majority of those included breakfasts in other hotels. They had 'Seattle's Best' coffee and Tazo tea as well. Good stuff.
The room, however, was not exactly what I expected. Sure, it had beds, furniture, a bath and a chair. They were in good repair. I had asked for an ADA room because I am disabled, and I have to say it was not really disabled friendly. You just can't add a wheelchair-accessible sink and rails and call it good. The bath itself was a shower-tub combination. No seat. It was not a roll in shower. So wheelchair-bound guests couldn't use it. The second, and more troubling aspect was the door. The hinges were on the wrong side. It would require someone wheelchair bound to open the door and while still holding the door, back up past the door to fully open for entry.
In the room itself, the furniture was placed too close to each other which would not allow passage between them or the wheelchair to turn around easily between the beds, or between the bed and the desk.
I know this may sound nitpicky but I am disabled and I've spent enough time in ADA rooms to know what works and doesn't work.
This is a heads up to other disabled people who might consider this hotel and its ADA rooms. I hope this helps disabled people manage their expectations.

Read moreI picked this hotel based on the reviews, but I did not have the 4.5 experience as everyone else did. I travel a bit and stay at several places, and I'll let you know why I would give this a 2-star compared to other hotels. The rooms are dated, which I am okay with. At this price point, I'll accept the rooms as they are. The beds were not comfortable. I can't imagine the beds have been changed in a while, and it was the hardest bed I've slept on at a hotel in several years. If I can't sleep well, I have to start the hotel at 3 stars and then go down from there. The pool didn't feel heated, so it was not worth the swim due to cooler weather. The photos they provide on their site don't match the number of patches the pools have needed over the years. The breakfast buffet was not close to any hotel chain I've stayed at. One cereal was provided for each day, the waffle maker was missing and the selection and stocking of what was there was slow. The location to the highway was terrible to try to get to due to its proximity to a busy light. So, when trying to get to the highway to get to attractions, we had to go the opposite way to get to the street. The hotel is loud. We had a few fans in our hallway with little explanation that ran the entire time we were there. The door was thin, so you could hear the hallway, and the floors were wood, so you could hear everyone above you.
Overall, you get what you pay for, I guess, but I would disagree that this is a 4.5 hotel, and we probably will not stay at another La Quinta Inn. I will give kudos to a...
