The Fire Truck — Restaurant in Bentonville

It's one of the coolest setups for a food truck I have seen. From the vintage fire truck to the bench swings, this place definitely stands out from the crowd. On a stroll, I happened upon this unique eatery and knew I had to check it out. Upon my arrival, I was immediately greeted with a smile and awesome customer service. Having never eaten here before, I had a few questions, and they were prepared and willing to help out. We ended up getting a few different menus items. The Glizzy, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, the Chicken and Waffles, and the kids' dog. We also tried the Side Potatoes and Brussels. Now let me shoot this straight, the food did not miss! So let's go with the bad, the Brussels were slightly overcooked, but the flavor was there, and that sums up the bad. The Brussels with a balsamic drizzle and some grated parm were a welcome change to normal side dishes. Side potatoes were well made and fresh. The kids' dogs were solid with a nice seeded bun. The chicken and waffles were on point, a solid take on a classic. Crispy fresh chicken on a beautifully made Belgium style waffle topped with chopped pecans. Oh man, that Glizzy was done right, from the 1/4 pound dog to the seeded bun finished with afresh cucumber tomato topping. Now, the show stopper was by far the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Fresh Breaded chicken fried up perfect and tossed in tangy Buffalo style sauce, thick (possibly homemade) pickles, and let's not forget the bacon. Overall: We ate here on 6-21-24 with a large group of kids & had an amazing experience! I didn't expect them to come check on us since it's a food truck but they did- a couple different times actually- & let me just say they took really good care of us & our little ones on our summer field trip! Food: We got the waffles & the corned beef sandwich. I have never liked a corned beef sandwich before but this was so good, I'd consider coming back to Bentonville for it! & the Strawberry/Rubarb sauce for the waffle was delicious! Atmosphere: Super neat place to eat with a safe area for our kids to play as they all slowly finished eating. Pricing: I'm good with the pricing because of the area & because you can tell it's clean food. Details: It set very well on my stomach as I'm sensitive to that type of thing & my left overs still tasted great later! I only eat until I'm barely full. The bread wasn't soggy at all. Would not recommend this food truck. They had a sign out that said they would open at 5:00 so we waited until then and then placed an online order. After waiting for an hour one of my family members went over to check on our food. When he went over there they informed him that they had not started our food because they were too hot and didn’t want to open when promised. When we finally got our food our order was wrong. My sister asked for avocado toast with an egg, no tomatoes, and a side of hash browns but instead she got avocado toast with tomatoes, no egg, and a side of fruit. I just got a side of chicken and it was sour. Definitely would not recommend this food truck because they only open when they feel like it no matter if they have a order or not and they all get your order wrong.
