I’ve been going to Pies Place for years and can’t say enough about the staff, atmosphere, food, and cleanliness. I do have to address a particular comment made yesterday by Corynn Cess, who you are more than welcome to contact me after reading my response. Your “one star” review is actually directed towards my 14 year old daughter, who is a good kid, straight A student, and it was only her second day on the job. Your baseless and inaccurate rating is not only untrue (the video footage was reviewed) and out of line, however, done solely to hurt a small business and a 14 year old girl, who is actually working in a society where most grown adults refuse to. I hope you feel empowered since reviewing and rating small businesses, offices, and stores seems to be your thing. Do you have a job? Seems to be a full time job you have online with your 100+ reviews. Just to clarify your false accusations, my daughter had an itch on her chin while holding your plain slice on a plate. Not to touch her face with her hands or mouth, as you claimed as if she was a toddler, she touched her chin with her knuckle. I don’t know many people that eat with their knuckles so your food was safe and unharmed. Once again, feel free to come in and view the surveillance footage if you’d like. Once you berated her and embarrassed her in front of the entire restaurant, after you in fact yelled at your own son saying the pizza looked “disgusting”, she did in fact go and get the manager, as it was only her second day. You continued to berate and disrespect them as well, which is when you decided to leave. I assume you wanted her to be fired on the spot? Or is that what this review is intended to do? In any event, I have been going to Concadoro and Pies Place for over 20 years, same owners as always and I’ve never had a bad experience, which is why it was the perfect first job for my daughter. I wish you well and hope your review finds you liberated that maybe you are making them lose out on one or two customers or a new employee hopefully being fired. Feel free to contact me directly as well. Putting a review online where you can’t be confronted directly is very cowardly and hurtful to the people and places who are actually trying to work in a society where most...
Read moreNestled in the bustling streets of Bayville, NJ, Pies Place stands out as a beacon for pizza aficionados. Pies Place offers a cozy and casual dining experience with stools and tables by the windows, perfect for people-watching or enjoying the Bayville vibe. The staff (especially Christopher Petrich) are known for their fast service and friendly demeanor, making each visit a pleasant one. The menu is a treasure trove of Italian-American classics, with their pizzas taking center stage. I absolutely adore the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, Eggplant Parmigiana Pizza, and the Garlic Bread with Cheese. For those seeking comfort food, the Tortellini Alfredo and BBQ Chicken Pizza come highly recommended. What truly sets Pies Place apart is the variety of slices available, allowing diners to embark on a new culinary adventure with each visit. The portions are generous, ensuring you get great value for your money. While there is minimal seating, the pizzeria is perfect for grab-and-go orders, with many customers opting for delivery to enjoy Pies Place’s delights from the comfort of their home. Pies Place is more than just a pizzeria; it’s a community staple where every meal is served with a slice of joy. Whether you’re a Bayville local or just passing through, Pies Place is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable...
Read moreHave tried twice now and have not been impressed but after the last time I will not return. We ordered a pizza calamari and antipasto salad. The pizza was burnt and the crust so hard it cracked when you tried to fold it. The calamari was so over cooked there was nothing left to the coating and beyond chewy that it actually hurt your jaw to chew it, to the point that we ended up spitting it out after a few pieces and threw it away. Then after and hour for the delivery they forgot the salad. We called and they said they'd run it out, we were almost done by the time it got to us and for what you pay for it it's not worth the price. It was some iceberg lettuce with a half a cucumber and a tomato cut up and 4 bundles of the meat that comes in an antipasto. So after $50 for a pizza salad and calamari that all was so bad it was barley eaten I will not try again, it's not worth it or the price...
