frequented since they opened. The way that I was ignored by a new girl that I've never seen before with Harry Potter looking glasses mad me so upset. I stood by the Register awaiting to be acknowledged so that I could ask how long the wait would be and give my name. I fully understand the dynamics of a busy operation. The girl with the glass whom I presume to be the host was sitting people Ignored me while i stood there. I'm a tall woman so there is no way she missed me. I didn't want to make this about race but I kept trying to get someone's attentions as well as hers. No one else was standing by the Register but me. In walks a Caucasian lady with a bottle of wine. The girl with the glasses immediately acknowledged her and asked her how many she needed seated. The lady says two (which is what I had been waiting for). The girl with the glasses says sure follow me and waves her in the dining direction. I interrupted and ask the lady with the bottle of wine when did she get there and how long she had been waiting. I didn't want to make a fuse if she had already been waiting outside. Which she shrugs and says she just came in to give her name or see how long the wait was( same as me but AFTER me) the girl with the glasses tells her to wait and starts to look around for someone, when she comes back to my direction I said "excuse me" and she goes "no English" and points to the lady handling takeout orders by the sushi bar. I attempted to tell this young lady with the glasses several times that I needed seating and she kept says "no english" and points to the other lady. I started turning in circled looking for someone to help and the girl with the glasses hurries over to the lady with the wine and takes her to the back instead of me. The lady with the wine shrugs again and follows the lady with the glasses. I stood there in absolutely astonishment. I was asking myself if I was in the midst of a radical moment at one of my favorite eating spots. The girl with the glasses comes back completely ignoring me. I tried to talk to her again about sitting and she says "sorry no English". One of the male staff there with the eye pad walks up and I ask him if he spoke English. He says sure and I told him I was trying to get sitting for two. He immediately turns to look for me sitting in the dining area. Meanwhile girl with the glasses stood there trying not to make eye contact. I waved him back over told him about my experience and explained why I wouldn't be returning back. I can't believe this is how I was treated even after I gave this place another chance when everyone was saying their cards got hacked from this place a few years back. I just always took cash and still went because the food was good. My money is green. That is all that needed to be looked at. I'm polite when I visit and I tip well, that is all that needed to be looked out. They don't have to worry about me ever coming back and this place will forever...

Amazing food service encompasses a variety of elements, including attentiveness, knowledge, efficiency, and a genuine passion for hospitality. These components work together to create an environment where guests feel valued and cared for, enhancing their overall dining experience.
Attentiveness is a cornerstone of excellent food service. It involves being aware of the guests' needs and responding to them promptly and courteously. This means refilling drinks before they are empty, noticing when a guest needs assistance, and ensuring that all requests are met with a smile. Read moreMe and my partner wanted to get chinese food, but both of us forgot that our usual go-to place is closed on Mondays. We instead decided that we wanted to try someplace new to us both. A few days prior we had passed U-House, and kinda made fun of how run-down it looks from the outside. Despite those comments we made, that was where we decided to go. Neither of us has heard anything about this place so we didnt know what to expect, and surely, both of us were absolutely blown away!! The service was amazing, the food was absolutely delicious, and the place is stunning in terms of aesthetics. I got the Beef Nagimari, which comes with salad, miso soup, and rice all on the side. The rice was perfect. I didnt like the dressing on the salad, but thats just a personal thing since I'm a bit of a picky eater ahaha. I had never had miso soup before, but that was really good aswell. The Nagimaki though... absolutely stunned. Never even heard of it before going here, and it's so good. I need to learn how to make this on my own!! New favourite food. My only complaint is how much they give you, theres so much food and I felt bad for not being able to finish it. I loved it so much though that I pushed myself to my limit, and then I needed to take a nap immediately when I got home. I went there for lunch, and still at 10pm now I'm not hungry for dinner ahahahaha. Coming here today wasn't planned, but I'm so glad that things unfolded in a way that brought me here. A truly unexpected experience, I will be returning soon enough. Just hoping that next time I do, I bring a bigger appetite so I can totally clear my plate. 10/10, Recommending U-House to...
