Jupiter is one of my favorite places to go have some food and drinks at in Berkeley. It's very centrally located in downtown Berkeley, right next to BART and the Target. The entrance is deceptively small, as it has an enormous patio area behind the building that also winds along the side and goes pretty far back, so there is ample seating room available! Especially in the warmer months, this is one of my favorite patios to go have some pizza and beer on. There's indoor seating as well with an upstairs and downstairs area, although the beautiful back patio is my favorite. Service tends to be rather quick and friendly, and they use a mobile order system where you just order the food and drinks on your phone through a QR code on the table, and then they bring it out to you. Although the pizza can sometimes take a while to make and be brought out, I've found it to be quite efficient and they're very accommodating with any requests that you may make. Besides, at least it's always hot and fresh once it does come out! For food, a lot of the pizzas seem to be space themed with their naming, being named after the moons of Jupiter. Get it? Cause the place is named Jupiter? I think it's cute! My favorite pizzas so far seem to be the Cassiopeia and the IO. I love white sauce pizzas, and these two are absolutely sublime! My partner tends to prefer the Cassiopeia one, which has chicken and bbq sauce on it, but I also absolutely love the IO, which also has chicken and then comes with pesto and olives, among other things. Both of them are very fresh and delicious. All of the ingredients complement the piping hot and perfectly baked pizza perfectly! I don't care for super thick crusts, so I like the way they make the pizzas here. They also have plenty of IPAs and other beer and wine to choose from to accompany your pizza. I just wish you could order a pitcher to share with someone or a few people on the weekends! They'll only allow pitcher orders during the week. Either way, I really enjoy coming here for the deliciously fresh pizza and drinks. Put that alongside friendly and efficient service and a beautiful outdoor patio area, and it's definitely one of my favorite spots in the area. I have to recommend!

So good!! From the service to the food, everything was wonderful at Jupiter! I’ve been before but I never got photos. Second time around it was just as good, if not better. It’s really crowded but we were able to snag a spot outside. It’s scan and order but the servers were really attentive and helpful despite this. We ordered the beet salad, size small to share. It was the perfect size to split, generous portions, and the salad was incredible! It was covered with fresh beets, blood orange, fennel, and goat cheese. Candied walnuts tasted homemade too. Highly recommend it! For pizza we did half n half. We got the Callisto and the Eutropia. Callisto is really veggie heavy and I was skeptical about the kale and carrots, but don’t be alarmed, this was incredible. The textures and flavors worked so well together. I was so surprised! The crust was perfect too. The Eutropia is the perfect meat option, and I loved the fresh green onion on top too. Very balanced although Callisto was my favorite. For drinks, the Jupiter Hazy was delicious and not too hoppy. The iced coffee was great too. Would’ve been nice to have oat milk, but no sweat. All-in-all, a great experience and I’ll be back soon! Thanks Jupiter 💫

Great place for pizza and drinks. We chose to sit inside because of the cold but their patio area was lively and setting up for live music. The menu had plenty of options for pizza and beer, and we started with a large beet salad and ordered a Cheese and Gaia pizza with a seltzer beer. The berry seltzer beer was a great compliment and went down easy. The salad was more than enough to share with incredbily fresh ingredients and we were actually kinda full when the pizzas arrived. Both were baked with a golden crispy crust and delicious, even the basic Cheese which was loaded with mozzarella. You can see the guys hand tossing the pies in the kitchen. The staff was friendly and cooperative, as we had several different servers come and check on us, and their teamwork and respect for each other was evident. The laid back atmosphere and great food will keep us coming back.

Great atmosphere, hugely mediocre food. Overall kind of confusing. The host only seats the indoor section, but the outdoor (and much, much larger) section is self-seated. So people just have to stand around and wait for a table, which is a pain. And on the flip side, when you're sitting outside, someone's on your head waiting for you to leave. Not ideal. The pizza was fine, honestly nothing insane. There are really interesting looking pies but everything felt kind of bland, from the dough to the sauce to the toppings. Our appetizer would've come after the mains (the pizza), which is a head scratcher. We sent it back, and our host was thankfully understanding. On the whole, a good evening. Great atmosphere outside and the hosts were pleasant. Meh food and self seating.

Food is quite “meh”….atmosphere is amazing with live music, fireplace etc. service is friendly and fairly fast. Got the chicken wings which were mushy…nothing like any chicken wings I have ever had…and not in a good way. It was like a baked wings without buffalo sauce. We sent it back. We got the Odysseus veggie pizza with 3 kinds of mushrooms - crust was not all that great…taste was not bad, but definitely not for people who don’t LOVE mushrooms. We also got the Eutropia pizza with sausage and pepperoni. Again the crust/dough was not at all great, taste was also meh. Got the bread pudding, which was like a scramble of some sort. Not good at all. So, food is not at all good, but it has a great vibe. No need to return.
