This is a brief walk away from the Downtown Berkeley BART station and two parking lots. It's directly across from the Berkeley City Hall and near some other government buildings. There are events frequently in the park or near the park. There isn't a playground for kids or restrooms. There are a few works of public art which help to make it look nicer. Some restaurants are nearby and this could be a place to sit if you take your food to go. There is a farmers' market every Saturday on one of the streets that border this park.

The park itself seems to be a place where homeless people congregate during the week. On weekends there are other activities taking place and seems more family friendly. This Saturday we saw a farmers market and on Sunday attended a Lowrider car show on our way to get donuts nearby. An awesome find, we talked to the team from Vajitos Bikes and they were great!

COMMUNITY IS VERY PEACEFUL AND IS GETTING CLEANED UP I LOVE COMING OUT AND SEEING THE VIEW IN THE COMMUNITY WITH EACH AND EVERYONE GETTING ALONE AND HAVING RESPECT FOR ONE ANOTHER BUT WHAT IS BOTHERING ME AND OTHERS IN OUR COMMUNITY IS THE GAY PRIDE FLAG UP TEACHING OUR YOUNGER GENERATION THAT IT'S OK TO BE BISEXUAL THEY EVEN TEACHING IT IN SCHOOLS NOW THAT IT'S OK TO BE GAY MARCHING PRESCHOOL STUDENTS WITH THE GAY PRIDE FLAG POSTING IT UP IN SCHOOL HOUSE WINDOWS WHEN IT DOESN'T REPRESENT A COUNTRY OR A STATE WHICH I BELIEVE IS TOTALLY WRONG TO TEACH IN ANYWHERE CAUSE GOD DIDN'T ALLOW MEN TO HAVE SEX WITH OTHER MEN AND HE DIDN'T ALLOW WOMEN TO HAVE SEX WITH OTHER WOMEN , I THINK THAT ,THAT SHOULD BE SOMETHING THAT GAY PRIDE PEOPLE SHOULD KEEP BEHIND CLOSE DOORS IF THAT WHAT THEY WANT TO BE BUT NOT TEACH IN THE COMMUNITY OF OUR CHILDREN AND I FEEL BY THE LAW 'S OF WHICH GOD USES US TO ESTABLISH THAT WE SHOULD NOT ALLOW THEM TO BRING AND BRAKE THEM COMMANDMENTS THAT GOD HAS MADE AMEN! Westside de Berkeley car show 2024. Started off with the good atmosphere. Had some great food with tacos and Pupusas on the menu. A lot of cars to check out. The bonus was DJ big happy, followed by the singer Nicole, and Malo closed.My son and daughters bought a few things from the vendors, actually I did.lol. A couple of vendors were high priced. But, you just needed to walk around and search for the right deal . Great time out with the family.

My only negative was there was a guy sleeping on the bench. Then at one point I seen him get up and just start pissing A few feet from the bench, by a tree, in front of everybody with kids around...
