One Plus — Restaurant in Berkeley

First time here, and I really wanted to enjoy this place. I was excited to try their Asian crepes, jian bings, as there aren't many places in this area who make them. I ordered the pina colada and pineapple peach long tea with two Asian crepes. Without tip, it was close to $40. It took about 15 minutes to make my order. The staff was was nice, all tables had students with laptops, it was quiet, and the place had a nice vibe. As I was waiting, I use the restroom, and I was put off by all the nats. Then, I walked up to the pickup area as part of my order with already completed. I could see into the kitchen and was watching one of the staff prepare my second Asian crepe. Honestly, it doesn't take 15 minutes to make these crepes (the kitchen was not busy), but I waited patiently, and then notice that he was not using gloves and touching drawers, refrigerators, and all kinds of other surfaces while continuing to prepare my food. After the nats, I was really turned off by this. I know this probably happens more than often in all kitchens, but it's not something I want to see. I explained to them my situation, and they were understanding and kind enough to remove both crepes from my bill. My drinks were absolutely delicious! I'll be back for drinks, cuz they seem to have some amazing other boba and coffee options , but unfortunately my hunt continues...

Placed an online order 45 minutes prior to the establishment opening. Spoke on the phone with an employee to confirm details about my order. Arrived at the DoorDash and employee confirmed time of 1:15 to pick it up. An employee said, “We haven’t even started making it yet.” Then proceeded to explain that they ran out of Boba for one of my drinks. Clearly they ignored my order and then were so busy with walk ins who placed their order after mine, that they couldn’t even complete my order. It is a pandemic so I understand supply shortages, but they charged me for an order they didn’t even make and couldn’t even fill. It was going to be another 30 minute wait. The owner stated they have already had to cancel 2 orders prior to mine. When I asked for my order to also be cancelled, the owner stated that he could not cancel and refund me until the end of the day, which is unacceptable. I can’t even review the drinks due to poor management, which is a shame because I was very much looking forward to it and went out of my way to pick up what I expected to be...

We stumbled upon this place and saw the ambiance through the window. It was so fabulous that we decided to go in and try their drinks. We were not disappointed!! The place was super clean and hip and their tea drinks were so delicious. They had this great brown sugar boba drink for the kids with no caffeine (which they LOVED) and I got the charcoal oolong milk tea with boba and it was delicious!! You can even customize the amount of sugar and he has so many different plant milk options. We loved it and can’t wait...
