Coffee prices are a little steep but always worth it. They have other milk substitutes for sensitive tummies. I’m not a big sweet person in my drinks so the two speciality drinks I’ve had (ube latte and black sesame latte) we’re all too sweet. Would be better if its just the flavoring and no sugar.
The bakery food is from Starter bakery and some local places. The amazing food are: strawberry poptart, large cookies (chocolate chip, ginger molasses, oatmeal raisins, dark chocolate something….all solid), some sort of pecan cinnamon sticky bun (seasonal), some scones are decent too. The food that were disappointing: donuts. They were like old or something; soggy outside from the sugar and stale inside.
Staff is always friendly. Also, if you get an iced drink make sure you grab the correct lid! One of the lids is for like a sippy cup and it’s better for smaller drinks, so if you get a bigger on you’ll have to get the normal lids with a straw. Don’t be a dummy dummy like me and grab the wrong lid and...
Read moreUsed to love this place. Last ten or so times they’ve been out of basic ingredients; taken our order then told us ten minutes later that something is broken or out of date so we can’t have it, but they can’t refund, and offered to swap for a limited selection of stuff we didn’t want; served coffee that tasted like it had cleaning liquid in it, but really needed persuading to replace (I never ask for a coffee to be remade, it was undrinkable), and more. There are also people who work on the counter who have a real attitude - they make you wait for no real reason, (incorrectly) correct your pronunciation, get your order wrong then blame you, forget to give you your pastry and then sell to someone else, etc. It was a perfect drop in for coffee and breakfast on the way to work, but now we just avoid because it’s so frustrating - sad, because it was our favorite when we moved and it become a part of our routine, and the coffee and breakfast can be amazing, but just can’t deal with the...
Read moreI stumbled upon Signal while on my walk back to Ramona from the Chase Bank on Fresno. I am glad I didn't go into the Peets!
I ordered a 16oz Americano and the English muffins sandwich with bacon and miso egg and microgreens. The sandwich was AMAZING! I have never had a house made English muffins and now I don't think I could go back to the regular ones at the store. The bacon on the sandwich was thick, so every bite I had there was a flavorful bit of everything. My Americano was smooth and went well with oat milk.
They offer free water inside, which was nice after my long walk. The cafe was pretty warm, so I sat outside. Ambiance is alright, but gets the street noise of busy Solano and direct sun at the tables.
I definitely want to introduce my friends...
