sweetgreen - Healthy Salads, Bowls and Plates — Restaurant in Berkeley

I have been ordering from this sweet green for about two years now, mostly on DoorDash but recently I started going in person. This place is the bomb, it's always fresh, every blue moon I get a watery avocado but mostly every single ingredient is flavorful and delicious! Now that I'm going in to pick up I noticed how nice and welcoming everyone is, They all have great recommendations too so I can keep coming back without getting tired of getting the same taste over and over again. I think I've eaten there 4 or 5 days in a row now because this is one of the very few restaurants where you actually feel better after eating the food. A lot of people tell me that it's over priced but if you ad meat and get the free bread, this usually lasts me two meals throughout the day, but some salads are lighter than others. And if you haven't noticed the entire bay area is overpriced if you want to maintain a healthy nutritious diet. If I knew everyone's names I would shout them out because they all deserve it. Going here to grab a meal is something I look forward...

The worst Sweet Greens I have EVER been to. Got my online pick up exactly an hour after I ordered.

There were 15+ people waiting for online pick-up with one person packing to-go foods. What irritates me is not that it was understaffed or the speed. It is the way this one other girl with glasses on adamantly kept serving walk-ins only when there were only 3-4 of walk-in at a time. She was taking ALL the time she wanted to take with each individual walk-in customer, ignoring there were 15+ online pick-up customers waiting. That is great when you are NOT busy. You could tell 15+ people were getting restless and repetitively asking when their orders would be ready during my wait (again, 1 hour). It was as if that girl thought she was working at a different food place from the girl who was packing online pick up foods. Or are you that dense?

Also the portions were extremely small. Wow.

Absolutely terrible. 0 star if possible....

I am not a big fan of this place. First of all you can only only order online there's nowhere to park around there when I arrived even though my food had been ready for 5 minutes I had to stand in line with other people to wait to pick up my food the food itself was pretty good I wish the greens were not just raw I think you get more nutrients in there a little bit more palatable however having said that everything was very tasty I just find the concept of only being able to order online off putting!

So my last order was on March 24,2025 . It was 10 minutes late, I ordered spicy broccoli- they're was none, Iit was supposed to come with cabbage slaw- there was none! I ordered the same thing on March 17th or was 14 minutes late and I tried the ridged potato fries- they weren't even crispy and they had no salt!! I sent 2 emails after receiving my orders on said days but got no response from either...
