I moved to Berkeley 2 months ago. In those two months I have probably eaten out 40 times. Of those 40 times, approx 38 of them have been at Tender Greens. It is an incredible restaurant. The food has tons of life force, it is fresh, and tastes amazing. Service is great. Ambience is even better. The back patio is the perfect place to get some work done and eat a good meal. This restaurant would surely get 5 stars from me. However, the WIFI no longer works on the back patio. My favorite place to get work done in all of Berkeley is no longer a possibility. Now that's not enough to get a 1 star review, BUT I have asked management on three separate occasions over the course of a month about the WIFI. I get the same answer that they are working on it every time and that it will be fixed very soon. That was over 30 day ago. I don't understand, to me it seems like all that needs to happen is them to call the internet company and the issue could be solved in one day. I've never had an internet company fail to fix an issue for me, they literally make a living my making sure you have internet working. Maybe this review will be enough for them to get their internet fixed, I can have my favorite work spot back, and then I will gladly change this to the 5-star review that they deserve. EDIT:...
Read moreI enjoy Tendergreens Berkeley! I always order delivery and haven’t been disappointed once. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu—salmon, steak, short ribs, chicken, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, cookies, veggies, and their salad with goat cheese. Everything is consistently fresh and flavorful.
Even when I request my steak or salmon well-done, it’s still tender and juicy. The mac & cheese really surprised me—in a good way! I expected a stovetop version, but it was baked with breadcrumbs and had a nice subtle herb flavor. So good!
Their family meal is a lifesaver—it helps me prep dinner for the next 2–3 days and feeds my family of 3 comfortably. Today I wanted a little something extra: the short rib sauce with my mashed potatoes, even though I wasn’t ordering the short ribs. I called the store, and the representative who helped me was super polite and helpful. She even checked if they could include the sauce and made it happen—no fuss. I completed my order online , and when my food arrived—bam, the sauce was there!
Shoutout to the Tendergreens team for always coming through with good food...
Read morePicture this. You just finished a workout class, feeling good, and want to finish the day with a healthy meal. You go to old reliable, Tender Greens. Well my friend, this happened to me, and I would soon come realize that this was the worst decision of my life. Disaster Strikes. After ordering, I wait not 20, 30, BUT 45 MINUTES. Did you groan as load as I did?? My excitement evolved into anger. As my stomach growled and mouth quenched, the workers were rude and honestly…peeved me. As an aspiring business major at the University of California, Berkeley, I have learned that the goal of any strong assembly is efficiency and speed, yet Tender Greens’ assembly line was as slow at a turtle. Not to mention, my friend, who obviously thought she would be waiting for 5-10 minutes, drove around the block waiting for me as she was unable to find a parking spot. Unfortunately, she was FORCED to drive for 45 minutes, thus increasing her carbon footprint. I guess Tender Greens is pro climate change! I will not be returning…IF THATS NOT...
