Chicken and Waffles 10/10- the fried chicken here is so good! Normally Iām not a fan of chicken and waffles as a combination, but this was truly incredible. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside but so juicy and tender inside. The seasoning was amazing and the waffle was fluffy with the perfect texture. The way they paired together was actually perfect - the sweetness of the waffle complemented the savory chicken so well. This completely changed my mind about chicken and waffles.
Beef Bulgogi Scramble 8.87/10- made with marinated ribeye, carrots, spinach, red onion, cherry pepper, and scallion. This was such a unique twist on a breakfast scramble! The marinated ribeye was so tender and flavorful - you could taste how well-seasoned it was. The vegetables added great texture and freshness, and I loved how the cherry peppers gave it a little kick. The scallions added this perfect finishing touch. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors worked so well together.
KFC Benedict 10/10- I love eggs Benedict and I love how they made a twist on it by making it with Korean fried chicken! This was so good and so creative. The Korean fried chicken was crispy and had amazing flavor, and I loved how they incorporated scallions and Gochujang hollandaise sauce - itās so unique and delicious. The Gochujang hollandaise was the perfect balance of creamy and spicy. The eggs were poached perfectly with that runny yolk. This is definitely one of the most creative benedicts Iāve ever had.
Lemon Ricotta Pancakes 9.68/10- these were the perfect sweet treat to balance out all the savory food! They were so light and fluffy but packed with amazing flavor. The lemon was bright and fresh, and the ricotta made them incredibly moist and creamy. They werenāt too heavy which was perfect after all the other rich dishes. The perfect ending to an amazing meal.
Bottomless Mimosas 10/10- the bottomless mimosas were great! They definitely had all of us completely exhausted from them but they were so fun. You get 90 minutes which is plenty of time, and you get the option of having them with orange juice, fresh raspberry lemonade, or grapefruit juice. My personal favorite was definitely the raspberry lemonade - it was so refreshing and had the perfect balance of sweet and tart.
Berkeley Social Club is honestly one of my favorite places in Berkeley (yes, Iām basic) but itās such a fun spot and their food is so good! I love how their food is pretty unique with creative twists on classic dishes, and itās such a fun vibe to hang out with friends. I always end up coming here whether itās planned or not, and Iāve never had a bad experience. The atmosphere is always lively and the service is great. Itās the perfect spot for brunch with friends!

She first suggested a salad with kimchi, and then I reminded her that the kimchi most likely had fish sauce. She then recommended us the fried peppers, which we then ordered and ate. It tasted a bit weird so we asked them what it was and they said fish???? šš When it was already made clear multiple times that we are vegetarian and cannot eat fish? We sent it back obviously and asked to speak to the manager and she said she would take the peppers off the billā¦. I thought that was obvious given the fact that we barely ate it and sent it back? There didnāt seem to be much care for the fact that we are completely vegetarian and ate fish because of their mistake. We ordered tofu dolsot and tofu curry udon as well⦠the dolsot was flavorful and had a good amount of tofu but the udon was just.. bad. Super bland and slightly overcooked. Generally very busy during the weekends, but you can sign up for their waitlist on yelp. Prepare for a 30min - 1 hr wait.
Went today and had the lemon ricotta pancake and a side of scrambled eggs and millionaireās bacon. Iām usually not a fan of bacon but Iāll make an exception for millionaireās bacon! However, despite how delicious the food was, the food did not arrive hot; it was lukewarm.
There were few things that irked me about their service at times. During a visit before, I asked if I could substitute a breakfast meat for fruit, and they were ok with doing that. During a different visit, the waitress told me that they ādonāt do thatā and I was forced to choose a meat I didnāt want.
But today they did something that really bothered me. In the restaurant, everyone was being sat one table apart. When we were seated, we were also placed one table apart from others dining in. I initially I thought it was awesome that they were social distancing us. But a few minutes later, a waitress brought a party of four and sat them directly next to us. Their table was less than a foot apart from us. I was extremely irked and uncomfortable throughout the rest of my dining experience.
Later on I made a comment to my friend and he told me there was also enough room on the other side of the restaurant for the party to be seated while staying socially distanced. The middle of the restaurant empty too.
tldr: Food is great, but service can ruin your food...
