We had an incredible experience here, finally enjoying some truly authentic Nepalese dishes.
The momos were simply delicious – that first bite gave me an instant wow moment. Juicy, perfectly spiced, and wrapped in delicate dough – everything you want in a momo.
The pork sekwa was hands down one of the highlights. The pork was cut into perfect cubes with just the right balance of meat and fat. Crispy on the outside, tender inside, cooked to a beautiful medium, and paired with rice so rich in flavor it could stand alone as its own dish.
The chicken chowmein was outstanding – loaded with fresh, crisp veggies and tender chicken, with noodles tossed in spices that blended perfectly. Every bite felt balanced and satisfying.
The Mustang chicken was packed with flavor. You could taste the depth of the marinade in every bite – so delicious and well cooked.
And to top it all off, the Mango Tango mocktail just ruled the vibe. Fresh, sweet, tangy – it brought the whole meal together with such swag.
And honestly, there are so many other dishes on their menu that I still need to try. Everything we had was absolutely delicious and truly activated my taste buds. Great staff, and...
Read moreGood staff. We only ordered from the front side of the menu, so we didn't try the pasta, pizza, or burgers. Food is solid, but somewhat unremarkable flavors in the Entrees. We ordered the artichoke fritters (good), meatballs (also good), to start. Then the lentils (pleasantly buttery and rich), mustang chicken, vegetable curry which shared the same house curry sauce (okay, lacking magic for me), and chicken momo's (also okay, lamb may have been a better choice). Their special drinks were good with some interesting elements (e.g. tamarind) and possibly the more interesting part of the meal, but on the pricier side ($20/drink). Great atmosphere, the space hasn't changed much from when Longbranch was there. They had problems with smoke filling the space from the "sizzling" momo's delivered to nearby tables which required them to open the door which lead to a very strong cool draft pulled in by their kitchen hoods that made part of the meal less comfortable and chilly. Overall, I don't think there's any part of the meal that would make me come...
Read moreExcited to see this space re-open, and giving 3 stars for a family run operation with happy families in attendance. I truly hope this place becomes a local institution. But boy, we had a very different experience than most of the reviews here.
Our salad (shared) came out 20 minutes in and for a Brie and pear salad, there was just a disc of panko breading where the Brie would be. That was super sad for a cheese lover like me.
We then sat without the drinks we had ordered or even a water refresh until 40 minutes in.
Our dinner didn’t come until well after an hour and neither of the entrees (chicken sandwich, goat curry - we wanted to try both sides of the menu - comfort and Himalayan) were great even though we were so starving it was hard to tell.
Honestly this would be a 1 if I couldn’t tell that it was a new, non corporate operation and growing pains are reasonable.
Writing this in hopes that it all turns around, and maybe with more busy nights like our night they’ll be able to hire more staff and things will get more...
