Today I felt so embarrassed at this location. I ordered Decaf caramel macchiato then I went to pick up station and waiting. as soon as she put the drink down on the table, I asked her (who made coffee i ordered) "Is this decaf? just wanted to make sure." I was double checking because last time when I ordered same thing, they didnt make it decaf. Then she turned around and said extremely loudly "EXCUSE ME???! " with eyeballing and made think Im insulting her or something. Then I was shocked but asked her "Im just double checking"then she said again eyeballing and frowned at me and said "WHAT?! then she turned around and keep making other peoples drinks. she literally made me feel like Im asking something stupid. Then I left at first with drink because I worked at a same building. then i was thinking that I have to get coffee everyday at same starbucks and I didnt want to feel discomfort with her so I went back and said "no offense ,but I was just double checking because last time .." as I was saying she stopped me and said "I was putting down your drink on the table and I didnt expected you to say that and YES I get it DECAF ~ it is IMPORTANT" At that point, I was so frustrated and mad and I didnt want to talk to her anymore. She was in her own land. I called manager then manager kept saying sorry and offered me a free drink but I think Katelyn (girl who made coffee) should feel sorry for being aggressive and giving an attitude. Read moreI've been a gold star member of Starbucks for years. I order using the app, so my drinks are supposed to be ready when I arrive. I spend a ridiculous amount of money at SBs every year, and know how they are supposed to operate.
This place is HORRIBLE! There is ALWAYS some issue. 50% of the time I'm sitting around waiting for my order while the kids behind the counter talk to each other, an order I placed 15-20 min earlier using the app.
Today I go in, and I'm standing there waiting & waiting. Finally I ask the guy if he has my order .., as Im asking I look over and see my melted drink sitting behind the counter, where ONLY THEY CAN SEE IT.
I ask him why they didn't set it out, like they always do. He says, rudely, they aren't supposed to do that. I tell him, EVERY STARBUCKS IVE EVER BEEN TO DOES IT, INCLUDING THAT ONE. And how are people supposed to know their drink is ready??
He says, I called your name earlier.
I just left. Does anyone see the problem with that?? People use the app, because they are busy and don't have time to wait. Thus, they place the order BEFORE they are at the store. Thus, they ARE NOT NECESSARILY GOING TO BE IN THE STORE THE FIRST TIME THEIR NAME IS CALLED!!!!!
I stood in that store for an ADDITIONAL 10 min, and my name was never called.

Read moreI hardly ever go to Starbucks, but, I decided to stop in to check the balances of all 5 of my gift cards. When I walked into the front doors of this establishment, I immediately was greeted by a very friendly staff of hard-working employees. The one employee that really stood out to me the most was Katelyn. She immediately told me that she could consolidate all of the cards into just one simple card with the appropriate balance. That was very kind of her and just one small example of how wonderful Katelyn truly is. I asked for a very sweet cold coffee drink and she immediately came up with the perfect drink for me. I sat down at my desk and took two sips and immediately called her to let her know that this drink is the best drink that I have ever tasted. Katelyn is extremely efficient and a hardworking employee. She has great interpersonal skills and treats customers with the highest integrity, respect, and professionalism. Katelyn is truly an asset to this organization and is a great example for all of us to follow. Starbucks in Basking Ridge (Riverwalk Village) is truly lucky/blessed/fortunate to have such a star employee! Thank you Katelyn for making my first experience to Starbucks an amazing one.
