Trattoria Bolu — Restaurant in Bernards Township

Trattoria Bolu has always been one of our favorite places! There are so many delicious items to chose from.

Some of our favorites are: Sausage rice balls Lemon Caesar salad Orecchiette with vodka sauce Avocado toast (best I’ve ever had!) Mint Arnold Palmer And just about every pizza they make! I love the pizza sampler. You can chose 4 different types and they make it into a whole pie. It’s a great way to try out all their different pizzas. The multigrain pizza crust is good too.

The restaurant has many tables to eat inside, when it’s warm they have outdoor seating as well. If you go on a Friday or Saturday it does get busy, sometimes we make a reservation. They are always very accommodating. Definitely...

I always order the soup combo, never an issue. Today, I decided to just order a LARGE SOUP, and I get a small container of soup. I've ordered a larger soup before, and it was never this size. I ask - is this the large? And the person who brought me the food tells me this is the size for small and large you just get less soup in the small one, this makes no sense. I am paying 11 dollars for a large, and I get a small container. RIP OFF. If you aren't offering a larger container anymore, then don't have the option for large soup. Last time coming here....

Get the Orecchiette with Vodka Sauce - amazing! Though $22 for a pound of pasta and sauce is a little much...

If you want a good pizza or meatball parm, go to your local pizzeria. The boardwalk pizza, barely any cheese! Another time I ordered meatball parm, it came on a small "artisan" roll with barely any sauce or cheese for $17?

Don't get me wrong, I like this place, the chefs appear hard working and prepping fresh foods. Sometimes I just want a pepperoni pizza without having buffalo cheese on it, everything doesn't need...
