We came here the other night to watch the playoffs.
Our waiter provided wonderful service - attentive and friendly.
The drinks (cocktails) were tasty.
The calamari was decent - we thorough enjoyed the marinade/sauce it came with but the calamari pieces were mostly overcooked and rubbery. The pieces that weren’t, were enjoyable. Maybe they were rushed?
The food (sandwiches) were overpriced and mediocre at best. We ordered two sandwiches and were dismayed by the lack of quality. The steak was a bit overdone and had very little flavor. It could have used a house made dressing to add interest and depth to the sandwich, but even with more ingenuity, the price of $17 was way too much.
The other sandwich (chicken) was about the same. It tasted okay, but there was zero ingenuity in terms of making it worth the $$.
Both sandwiches came with French fries. Having assessed the options for fries in other menu offerings, we were looking forward to our sides. Unfortunately, the fries that came with our sandwiches were dry and unseasoned.
In general, it appeared that the chef(s) were not able to extend their love for food (their career) into smaller entrees like regular fries and sandwiches.
Had we paid $8.50 each for the sandwiches and fries, we would have been content with the quality. $17.50 per plate was ridiculous. The lack of attention to both price and quality suggests we will enjoy other venues for food.
Definitely a fun place for basic snacks and drinks but unless the head chef starts incorporating his passion for food with his creations at The Station, the meals are not all...
Read moreDidn't like anything. They made my steak sandwich wrong by only putting onions instead of mushrooms on it when I specifically asked for no onions. I currently am sensitive to onions and do not like them because I am pregnant so I know what I ordered even if Alex, the server, wanted to say otherwise. He did take away my sandwich to fix it and when they brought it back 15 minutes later I found that they served me my original fries because they were overly hot and soggy instead of crispy and they even used my same plate because there was smeared ketchup from where they tried to wipe it off before reheating my fries. Upon opening up my sandwich I found burnt cheese and steak as well as some onions still mixed in so I am pretty sure that they just picked thru my steak to try and take out all tge onions instead of just make me a new one. The waiter never came back over either to ask how anything was. Also he told me before ordering that the sandwich was excellent and comparable to a philly cheese steak which was a lie. It was most likely steak umm steak or something similar and I wouldn't even feed that to my dog! Needless to say I hardly ate any of it and would not recommend this place to anyone based on my experience. You can see yelp for my...
Read moreWent out to what was supposed to be a nice early dinner yesterday with my husband and friends. This was our first and last time, ever. We’ve been waiting to try for some time and unfortunately we will never be back again. Took over an hour to be served our appetizers (a salad which was the wrong salad and calamari which was served cold). The apps came out with our dinner. My order was completely wrong, however, I kept the plate as I did not want to waste the food. I’m glad they took it off the bill. Never received drink refills. The food was not impressive, at all. Unfortunately, the food did not sit well for my husband that night (sorry, TMI). All of the workers were wearing their masks below the nose. As a previous server of several years in an extremely busy restaurant, I am surprised at how awful the service was and it was not even that busy! I believe perhaps the restaurant may not have been prepared with the right amount of staff/cooks, but that should not be the guests problem. Clearly it became our problem. I usually don’t write reviews, but had to in this case because I’m ultimately very saddened by this experience. I hope in the future the service and food will improve for other guests to be able to...
