We held our holiday dinner in this establishment. They have main room which is actually split into 2 and then there is the outdoor covered patio. I am sure in the spring or fall it is ok, but it was freezing (i am always cold though) despite them having propane heaters going. It didnt help that waiters kept going in and out with cold draft from outside coming in. Overall clean. Food was decent. We had banquet menu so i am not familiar with a la carte but our food was still decent. Caesar salad, salmon, appetizers including pizza sushi (bit spicy for me) and calamary. Tiramisu was excellent!!! Parking is a bit tough as they have some in the back (it was full) and possibly have valet… but i found paid parking lot across the street. I probably would have enjoyed experience in the main building a bit more, but freezing sort of it ruined it for me which is why 4 stars for the atmosphere and service. But i am absolutely willing to give another try and their a la carte menu… as long as i get to have tiramisu again. It was great

I dined at Bistro Seven Three on January 29 (a Friday night). The restaurant is split into two sections, and the side our party was seated on was filled almost to capacity - a total of 4 open seats out of 40 (yes, we counted). The other side looked to be just as full. The maitre d was not wearing a mask and interacted with many of the guests that he seemed to know on a personal basis. The servers all wear masks, but that seems to be the extent of Bistro Seven Three's desire to comply with any guidance and regulations. P.S. I do not give a **** about COVID, but I do care about other local businesses that are suffering because their competitors refuse to play by the same rules. I'm sure they have finagled their capacity numbers to be in "compliance", but you will be dining in a full restaurant where only the servers wearing masks is required. Guests and maitre d, optional. Generous two stars because the food is truly fantastic

Exceptional venue for a regular dinner out or with a large group. Plenty of indoor seating and the outdoor seating has two different areas, one with a retractable roof, open air walls with fans for the summer and heaters for cooler days. The menu is extensive, including unique pasta offerings. The Bucatini Cacio e Pepe is a delicious choice with a lighr cracked black pepper and Pecorino Romano sauce. I recommend ordering it for an appetizer; the staff will split it up for you on multiple plates. The stuffed pork chop special when available. Is also something you shouldn't miss. The prices are reasonable, and the service is usually very attentive and pleasant. Parking isn't a problem, but you may have to walk a block or two on busy nights. I recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends.

This Bistro took over a pizza joint which i liked but that is besides the point. My fiance and I went to the new bistro because they kept the outdoor seating and we wanted to try the new place on the block. at first it looked very promising as they changed some of the pizza places decor which came out very nice. we were seated outside right away and the wait staff was prompt and polite. we went with the salad special which was beets with tomatoes and goat cheese; she had the salmon with some sort of avocado type base and i had the meat special which was rack of ribs with french fries.

now this is where the place fell apart. the appetizer beets and goat cheese took 45 minutes to come out and it was full of tomato filler. the beets were cut very thin and just over whelmed with tomatoes but it did have a good amount of goat cheese.

took another 45 minutes to get our entrees. my plate came out with a half rack which was not specified on the menu and it was maple bbq sauce which again was not mentioned. the plate was again filler with french fries to cover the plate due to the lack of ribs. her salmon again with filler was small and the plate was filled with lots of the avocado base. the salmon was over done as well and the ribs were eh.

i did make all of this aware to the wait staff but all and all i will not be going back to the new place on the block as first impressions is everything and they did not make it a good one what so ever.. great wait...

Do NOT book your private event here!!

We usually love Bistro73 for dinner, so my mother booked it to host my baby shower. We rented the outdoor space and she had 3 separate meetings detailing exactly what we wanted, number of tables and arrangements, and clarified all details prior to the event. The plan was set to have the space ready 1.5 hours ahead of time and we would come to set up the finishing details and decorations.

Unfortunately, when we arrived 80 min prior to the large party, the space was a disaster. Dirty dishes were left out from the night before, garbage everywhere, and the roof was leaking. The tables were completely unorganized and nothing was ready. Luckily, we brought 6 family members to help set up including 3 strong men, so they moved all of the tables, got up on a ladder to fix the roof, and finally got it arranged appropriately. The staff came in and reported that none of the previous communication regarding what we wanted and set up instructions was relayed to them, but they got to work setting up the tables. However, even little details like linens were a disappointment. They did not have enough for every table as promised and then they put stained linens on the dining tables (luckily our centerpieces covered the stains).

Overall, we were just really disappointed! In the end, the event was lovely, but it was after a lot of stress from the initial set up and only made possible due to family members...

My husband and I were house hunting in Bernardsville and decided to stop here for a quick bite due to the rave ratings.

When we entered, the restaurant was empty and there was a woman with long black hair, a long jacket and a crop top, sitting at the booth with her lap top open and she was less than welcoming.

As we sat down to review the menu and eat, we were overcome by her scream talking to the wait staff about her personal life (going out tonight, wearing a mini skirt, who is allowed to touch/style her hair, her flat stomach), scream talking when answering the phone and then complaining about customers who called when she hung up. It was disruptive, unprofessional and rude. Overall her behavior was incredibly inconsiderate to patrons and poorly represented this restaurant that had such lovely ratings.

When my husband went to use the restroom and came back to our table, he said she was laying down on the booth while on her phone (is she an owner or related to the owner? I’ve seen 5 yo children behave better than this at a restaurant)

Our food was great, but this experience overall was uncomfortable and made us want to eat and get out of...
