I have been in and out of this panera multiple times. I have seen employees just sitting around doing nothing while there is food to be run to the guests as well as being on their phones. That is very disrespectful to the guests that are there to experience the food not to experience employees constantly talking and complaining about their personal lives. I was in the store on 6/6/2019 and one of their managers, I believe her name was Marissa, was just on her phone when she was walking through the dining room. That does not set a good example for the employees. I used to work at a panera and I know that goes against company policy. Managers have more responsibilities, that does not give them permission to break the rules. There were dirty dishes that she could have grabbed on her way to and from the bathroom to set that exemplary example, but she was on her phone both to and from the bathroom. Decline in Food Quality: The food I ordered was not up to the standard I have come to expect from Panera bread. The $9 chicken noodle soup bowl was served half-full and was almost all exclusively broth. What a shame. It was clear that the attention to detail I once appreciated was lacking.
Cleanliness Concerns: The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was subpar. The dining area had dirty floors, uncleared tables, sticky surfaces. I did not use the restroom.
Service Issues: While I understand that staff may be under pressure, the service was noticeably slower and less attentive than in the past. There was no cashier, only kiosk service. Read moreVery disappointing.... placed an order for pick up. More than enough staff to avoid any such issues. Walked in, the person in front of me was helped so they walked away and the cashier just turned around when my turn came and started doing other things while another worker did the same....not acknowledging me at all. I had to say, “excuse me I’m here for a pick up.” They forgot to add the salad I ordered so I had to go back in to pick it up. Added avocado to one of the breakfast wrap, they cut up a chunk and just put it in there, the tomato was bad. Pick up orders should be treated like drive through orders, add the needed other things to the bag. Salads need a fork to be eaten, straws needed for smoothies and napkins to clean your hands. We had to stop somewhere else to get some. I even asked the girl when I walked in for the pick up if these were in the bag, her answer was, “they should be.” One star only because my son really liked his sandwich. Not ordering from this...
