Very disappointed, angry, sad etc. I came all the way from texas to celebrate my daughter’s first birthday with my family and I had ordered a two tier cake with pastel colored buttercream. I have the text messages explaining I wanted a two tier cake with just pastel colors and that feeds 40 guest. I payed for the cake while I was in texas the lady said she would send a confirmation receipt to my phone (never did) but the payment went through. My mother went to pick up the cake at 1:30, my guest were arriving at 3. She calls me and says the cake looks so small for being that they charged her $200 for it. I told her the cake was payed for already but they didn’t tell her that. The cake was not a two tier cake and was so small. This was my daughters first birthday cake and they messed it up!! couldn’t make her another one and then told me that they would give me a free one of the ones they have there but I was so sad I said no give me my mothers money back and the charge you got from my husband and I don’t want your cake. I was saddened that I wasn’t going to have a cake for my daughter being that my guest were going to arrive in an hour. So then I said well since you were going to give me one free I’ll take the one you made me and the guy said unfortunately we can’t do that, we can give it to you half off for $100. I said heck no this was their error. I was beyond upset. I said forget it never buying a cake from there again. My mother felt bad not having a cake for my daughter so she purchased one from there for $50 and it was not good. Ridiculous how they want to charge $200 for a small cake that feeds probably 10 people. I give this place 0 stars. Ridiculous!! The second picture is what I ordered minus the gold stuff and the clouds and rainbow. And the first picture is what they made me....
Read moreThis is a NO STAR rating Bakery! My husband and I ordered our wedding cake from Pierre's Bakery in Berwyn for our BIG Day, January 7th, 2017. They managed to get the design of the cake wrong, mind you they had a picture of what we wanted and told us they could do it. When they realized they could not make the lace design on the cake, instead of contacting us Pierre's team decided to just throw something on there that looked like nothing we had requested. I really wished they had called us to say they couldn't so my husband and I could make the decision of having a plain cake. But I guess Pierre's Bakery doesn't really care about what the customer wants!
As we saw the cake my husband and the wedding coordinator called the Bakery and the response was "I'll apologize to the bride"! What does that mean!? Did they think they could bring back the moment? Are they giving me another wedding cake!? Honestly what does this statement mean; "I'll apologize to the bride?"
Thinking this was their biggest mistake, guess what!? We had to cut the cake!!! They managed to give us butter cream filling when we paid for pineapple jelly. How can you look at an order and mess it up so much!? A wedding cake order, or any order for that matter. This was a $700 dollar cake that no one likes! It was super dry! Wrong filling! Wrong design!
So if you care for your money and you would like for your guests to actually be able to eat the cake at your event, from my experience Pierre's Bakery is not capable of delivering what is requested.
So, Thank you Pierre's Bakery for the worst experience you could have ever given a...
Read moreThis place sucks. I placed an order back in August for a cake I wanted in October and I showed them a picture of what I wanted. The cake was a semi frosted cake with plastic cows and a gold happy birthday sign. They guaranteed they can get the cake done exactly how the picture shows. I even sent them the picture so they can reference it. Come October, a day before the party, I go in to pay the rest of the remaining balance. The lady asked if I’m sure I didn’t want frosted cows. I confirmed that I wanted plastic cows. She says okay then shows me what kind of birthday sign I want for the cake. None of the pictures shown looked like the picture I provided. I settled on one that I kinda liked. The next day I pick up the cake and the sign I kinda liked looks pixelated and awful. The plastic cows were no where in sight and the cake looked half assed at best. Honestly, I wish there was some transparency so that I can lower my expectations or go to a different bakery. They didn’t even offer a partial refund for their dishonesty. They had months to order the plastic cows and the gold happy birthday sign and they couldn’t be...
