McDonald's — Restaurant in Bessemer

McDonald's is a view of America. To leave a review of one is a review of all of us, citizens or etc. I waited over 15 minutes for 6 sausage mcmuffins. I ordered from the kiosk so it would be correctly transferred to the kitchen. The same with payment. I watched my ordered QUICKLY go from ordered to "serving". After 12 minutes I asked the large blond woman in charge why my order had been being 'served' for 10 minutes. She quickly (insert irony here) explained that that stopped 'counting down'...... I see three things here. #1 People are smart to a degree. They will work in their self interest. Sam Altman and Elon miss this point. #2 making sandwiches is an easily automated job. People will only be needed to load the restaurant with materials that can be handled by the machines . SpeeDee service indeed. #3 Folks that once worked in a McDonald's will still eat McDonald's. If I had to make a fourth point it is confusing. Will the Uber robots argue with the kiosks over Bluetooth? Can either keep obese folks from ordering at all?

And....while I was waiting (ultimately over 16 minutes. Food was served with no napkins, and my request of condiments was...misinterpreted). I made this photo. They need to spend the money to further automate the machine or quit. I worked in a dairy queen in high school and we broke down our machines daily. Today's workers can't drive a stick and certainly should not be trusted with...

I want this McDonald’s to be great, but I am almost always a little disappointed every time we eat here. They have a great PlayPlace (probably the coolest in the area); however, there is often trash or food remnants on the tables and floor. In the summer, I have had to ask more than once for the AC to be turned on in the PlayPlace area. On more than one occasion, the employees stated they didn’t have the key necessary to operate the AC. I don’t know why that isn’t part of the opening procedures for the restaurant? The food is your standard McDonald’s quality. I’ve never had any issues in that area. This restaurant offers the option to have your order delivered to the table. This is pretty hit or miss. Sometimes the employees will bring your food to you and sometimes it just sits at the counter getting cold. Some of the employees are nice and helpful and some are pretty brusque, but you can get that anywhere. On our most recent visit, the women’s restroom smelled very strongly of marijuana. This could have been from a patron, but my kids and I were the only patrons to use the women’s restroom for at least 30 minutes (the employees did use the bathroom in that time period), so take that as you will. I just really wish this was a better run McDonald’s, because my kids love the PlayPlace. As it is, we frequent other McDonald’s in the area more often because I struggle with the mediocrity of each experience...

Id give no stars if that was an option. Was told hashbrowns did not come in a box so I was not able to look at ingredients to verify if the product was vegan until after I remained persistent and ask for it multiple times. Staff openly laughed at customers for special request. When I ordered a sandwich with no meat for a vegetarian they first brought out a chicken sandwhich instead. Then afterwards we went back to correct the order and instead of remaking the order they had taken the chicken off and thrown tomatoes on the order and proceeded to laugh (multiple staff members knew they were doing wrong) The order was suppose to be a mushroom swiss with no meat and extra veggies but there was no mushrooms on the sandwhich.

I understand why there was some confusion regarding the order given how it was rung up, however there was absolutely no reason for almost the entire staff to act in such a manner.

The manager was stressed, this facility needs more and better trained employee s. One staff member claimed to work 6months their but was unable to navigate the order menu properly.

When we asked if we were able to order lettuce and tomatoes (side salad) they were unable to fill the order. (Yet their was both lettuce and tomato on the incorrect sandwich earlier we had ordered)
