I usually never go the extent to leave a review & I’m very understanding and have worked in the food industry for years so I understand sometimes things happen, and mistakes happen BUT I genuinely had a HORRIBLE experience with this restaurant. I placed an order through uber eats for 2 Jaun Carlos burgers. They had a deal/promo through Uber eats (buy one, get free) for this specific burger. My order total originally came out to $16.44 ($10.95 for the burger and free burger, $3.49 in fees, I have Uber one so I pay less fees & a $2 tip) I did add in the notes no lettuce, tomato, onion & no mayo or ketchup on BOTH. That was the only request I made, I did not ask them to add or substitute anything! (Basically asking for a burger with just Bacon, cheese and the fried egg on top)
After about 5 minutes after placing my order I was notified there was a price adjustment and my total would now be $22.01. After looking at my receipt breakdown they charged me $5 for my special request. I requested them to take off lettuce, tomato ketchup, mayo and onion. So I called them the restaurant and asked them about the charge and they said “Uber was the one who did that” and they would call them. (I used to work in a pizzeria as well and I know that the restaurant went in there to that price adjustment. speaking from experience)
My order was placed at 5:55 pm and I did not receive the order until 7:47 pm. The estimated time for delivery on Uber eats was 6:35-7:10 and this order was being delivered by Bella Restaurant NOT uber eats.
When I received my food, it was not even warm anymore, and there was ketchup & mayo on both burgers. Specifically what I asked not to be put on. They charged me five dollars to take the stuff off, which makes no sense, but then continues to put two things that I asked to not be on the burgers! Extremely frustrating.
So I ended up calling back to let them know that it took really long for delivery, that I specifically asked for no ketchup, no mayo, & both of the burgers had ketchup & mayo. He said sorry but did not seem genuine, did not offer to send out another order or change the price adjustment, I also asked if he called Uber and he said that they would refund me. And we’re pretty much rushing me off the phone. (Not true)
After speaking with Uber, no I did not get refunded the price adjustment and I couldn’t get refunded for it because the restaurant made that price adjustment their selves! Thankfully, Uber Eats did refund me the five dollars for them messing up my order. Read moreTerrible Experience at Bella Pizza in Bethlehem. My family and I used Bella Pizza for years. I learned recently they have changed management and it is the worst.
I placed my order and went to pick it up. Upon arrival the young man said it will be another 20 minutes. I went back to my car and sat with the car facing the establishment looking at the bathroom.
I saw three workers including the new manager all went into the bathroom with the door open and not one of them washed their hands on their way out.
Their was dough balls on the countertop, to my surprise the one guy who went into the bathroom and not wash his hands was handing the dough. It then went into metal pans and placed on the floor. Yes the floor.
I gave the card for my order, the young guy said it did not go through. The owner then came over and ran my card two more times before handing the card back to me. Upon getting home we opened up the containers and two orders were missing fries. I called them right away to let them know, they then sent someone to bring it to my home.
Next day I checked my bank and was charged three times for my meal. I called Bella, no one picked up. I called on my husband phone who's number is very similar to mine no one picked up. I then used my sons phone and got someone who assured me to come in the next day and they would take care of it. (A death in the family) Yeah!
The next day I went in, I told the new owner my card was charged three times. He automatically went into defense telling me that's impossible that my card was charged three times. I then showed it to him on my phone, to which he said, " just call the bank they will give you back your money."
As the owner it would have been nice if his approach could have been professional. I called the back at that time, I was told I have to go through the fraud dept etc. The point is this could have been avoided and handled differently as a business. Bella Pizza is a business and any business needs the support from the community to be a success.

An update: July-19-19 I ordered a grandma's Sicilian pizza, large fries, pasta, and a cheese steak through delivery app "Slice". To start the order was very late, and when the delivery person arrived everything in the bag was sitting on top of the middle of the pizza which squished. I set the bag down on the table and when I opened it, the salad and bread that comes with the pasta dinner was missing. Instead of a large fry with had a small fry with chicken fingers. The fries were dry and kind of hard, the pizza cheese was squished to the lid of the box, and then there was the crust. This was weird, it was dry and tough and crisp like a cracker. The pizza was way smaller than anytime we have ordered before; I was gluten free for 5 years and I am pretty sure they gave us a gluten free pizza instead. I was disappointed in the taste and quality of everything and then when I contacted slice (twice) they could not get through to the restaurant to fix my order.
