Poke Bar 25 — Restaurant in Bethlehem Township

I called to make an order no one picked up , I show up in person and fill out my order form for the bowl , the young girl at the counter comes back and tells me they can’t make my bowl because I didn’t want a base rice or lettuce, so i asked if they can put the cucumbers on the bottom or something they tell me know. I can’t eat rice and lettuce because a procedure I had done. So at this point I’m bothered and confused because I don’t understand why it’s a big deal and also I drive there during my break and they could have said that on the phone. I’ve ordered from here 10-20 bowls at a time with my company and down group eats from this place. Not adding something doesn’t seem like a reason to turn away a customer. I leave and walk back in and ask if they have a corporate number then again ask if there’s no way they can make the bowl because the girl at the counter already told me that her boss doesn’t speak any English so I wanted to make sure that she was understanding my request because I really don’t feel like it was anything crazy. Anyways, I decided to just leave and go on about my day and as I’m walking out, there was another Employee, the younger black girl sitting there and decides to say Very sassy and with a nasty attitude”byeee” …. so I come back and I asked her what the problem is and of course I got nothing but nasty attitude back so I met her with the same attitude and asked her if she had an issue she could’ve stepped outside if it was that serious that she felt she had to give me an attitude and she continued to say that she was on the clock and I said OK you were on the clock when you decided to give me a nasty attitude and you got the right one . I asked her if I walked over and slapped her if I would be wrong, and of course she had nothing else to say. As a minority woman and an immigrant myself, these are the kind of experiences that make people say nasty things about Black people black women are specifically about non-English-speaking residence. I’m on my lunch break they are in a professional setting. There’s no reason why my concern and complaint needed to turn into me, receiving an attitude to where I felt threatened like somebody wanted to have an issue with me. I want to preface my review by saying this is my first ever poke bowl. However in saying that, the bar has now been placed very high for any other place that I will try one at. That's how good this poke bowl was! I got the mixture bowl (chicken, shrimp, crab, white rice, veggies, pineapple, garlic mayo and eel sauce, etc) and it was quite amazing! The portion was huge and I wasn't able to eat it in one sitting! Everything was super fresh and it was a great combination of flavors & the sauces on top - perfection! I took my food to go, but I would definitely come back and eat inside when I have the time as it was super clean, bright and a very cute cafe type atmosphere. Everyone was very nice and my food was made right in front of me and the whole process was very quick. I would definitely recommend you try it! I will be back. *Update. Still giving 5 stars. My wife & I just had our first experience here, needless to say everything was great! We both did a “Build your own” bowl, mine based around chicken teriyaki and hers based around seafood teriyaki & ginger dressing. Both came out amazing!

We were very pleased with the portion sizes as well! I was just barely able to finish it all, and the wife had to take half of hers home. Overall great value.

Inside dining experience was lovely. All the tables were clean, the floor was immaculate, kitchen was spotless.

Service was wonderful. Staff is very friendly and especially helpful when it came to questions & suggestions.

What more could you ask for? This place was awesome and we look forward to visiting...
