Pizza Como & 50 Yard Line Sports Bar — Restaurant in Bethlehem

My friend and I have been here 2 times before. The first time we decided to test it out since we have only heard good things about this place! We were unfortunately disappointed in the entire first experience. We asked for a Penne Vodka and were informed that “we are all out of pasta right now” to which we were confused but went with it anyways since we sat down. We decided to just order small bites like their Mozzarella sticks, French fries, and homemade potato chips. We felt like we were sitting there FOREVER before we got our food(which genuinely shouldn’t have taken 25+ minutes of wait time to come out). When the food arrived me and my friend were unimpressed as for the fact that the mozzarella sticks were burnt, French fries were soggy, and chips were cold but could break a tooth at the same time.(pictures below)We left the place disappointed but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt since it was later in the night. Fast forward to later that same month we were craving Penne Vodka again. We showed up once more with the same quest in mind but was disappointed a second time after learning they couldn’t make it for us. We settled for pizza which had A LOT of cornmeal at the bottom and genuinely tasted like a mixture of school lunch and Chuck E Cheese pizza. We felt genuinely defeated once more as we left and still upset about not having the pasta we wanted. TODAY my friend and I were craving it once more and when we called we heard the good news! They had our Penne Vodka! The woman was nice over the phone and I went to pick it up right away. When I came back excited to eat it my friend and I had the same reaction with our first bite. They did NOT fully cook the pasta and it only tasted like vodka alone(barely any actual sauce in the tray). The garlic bread was good but my friend and I have officially decided that after 3 separate visits of disappointment, we will no longer be visiting. Goodbye Pizza Como, I hope you improve DRAMATICALLY...

I’m not sure what has happened to this place recently but it’s really gone downhill. I used to LOVE this place and their food. Now I’m just lucky if the food comes out right the first time. The past 3 experiences I have had there the food has been incorrect. I order boneless wings and I get bone-in, I order ranch and I get blue cheese, I order hot wings and I get another sauce. This has been consistent every single time the last few times I’ve gotten food here.

The service when I eat in has been downright disrespectful. I have had to practically beg for the server to come back to my table to get a second drink or to fix any mistake. I understand it could be busy… but on a Tuesday night when it’s not busy and I’m in there with a party of 6, I expect a server to be attentive to what we want and to check on us.

My expectations come from the previous experiences I have had at 50 yard line. I used to rave about the wings and food and encourage people to come out especially for the ufc fights. Now I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I’ll be looking for another wing spot and ufc spot

Update: not sure how to respond to the owners response but spoiler alert for you sir, there wasn’t a staffing issue the last night I went. We were the only table with barely anyone at the bar. Staffing isnt the problem when my food order is constantly messed up or the server never comes over to us to ask for refills or how things are when we are 1 of 4/5 different customers with 2 different bartenders on duty. But when the owner responds to a review with “spoiler alert” I guess I shouldn’t expect much out of the establishment anymore. Thanks for making my decision easy.

Pizza Como used to be the best. Not sure what happened! Last time we ordered delivery their power was out and the lady said it “might take longer than a half hour,” but that it was fine to still order. Two hours later I called them and their phone line was busy. I assumed that their power was still out. About 5 hours after placing the order we finally heard from them asking if we still wanted the food. I understand that the power was out but a phone call after an hour or two would’ve been nice.

We decided to give them another chance last night. When the food arrived the delivery driver claimed to have no singles dollar bills for change, hence getting a larger tip. Maybe it was true but in my opinion a driver should be able to give a a few bucks change back. When we opened the food the sauce for one of the sandwiches was missing. We called them back and they asked if “we really needed it?” The same delivery driver brought it about a half hour later. When something is wrong with the order, we could usually at least count on the food being good no matter what, but not this time. My boyfriend’s fish taco fell apart as soon as he tried to take one bite. It looked like it had just been thrown in the box. The regular taco meat tasted old and dry! We couldn’t believe it because we never had an issue with the quality of the food before!

We had been loyal customers for so many years, at our old house and at our new apartment. I hate to say it but after the last three or four times we are reluctant to try Pizza Como again, at least not...
