Visited this popular spot two days on the row for a hefty multiple items lunch, prices were right and the food tasty. The scallops tacos were industry leading! My grype was this: on both visits had the horchata beverage. The first day it was deliciously prepared but on the second visit it was watered down and not as enjoyable. The waitperson asked how everything was as they always do, I said everything was fine except for the horchata and proceeded to explain why as I have here. This feedback was taken with zero consideration as if I had actually said that everything was perfect, then the server walked away nonchalantly. I thought that was odd. When I went to the cash register to pay I was then very nicely asked again how 'everything' was, I took this opportunity to again express my disapproval of the horchata but this time in front of the entire staff and owners. The reaction was exactly the same disregarding attitude, and cricketts! Here is the deal: if you ask how something is and truly mean it then be ready to receive (acknowledge) the feedback for which you have asked; and if you want to go the extra mile, apologize and fix it or don't charge it. Other than that the restaurant is aesthetically unsophisticated and awkwardly set up: entrance is narrow and crowded right next to grill and open kitchen. There is a half flight of stairs towards the back that lead to a seating area separated by doors. The upstairs seating area feels as if you are walking into someone's poorly decorated living room. The entire place is very clean and somewhat pleasant albeit claustrophobic.

I had the pleasure of visiting this place with my brother who knows I have a constant craving for Mexican food. The owner of this place is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I had a great experience with their excellent service. Delicious food! The tacos al pastor were delicious, and we also enjoyed the flautas. The tacos Birria with broth for dipping were a standout dish, and the guacamole with chips was a great addition to our meal. The food was absolutely delicious! I particularly enjoyed the salsa they served with the chips. Although the original salsa was not spicy, I requested a hotter version and was given both the salsa verde and salsa roja. The latter was quite spicy, but still very tasty. This is a highly recommended product/service. UPDATE OCTOBER 24 2024 One year later I came back and the food had the same incredible flavor. The staff and the owner were increíble. This time we went for the tacos carnitas and everything was delicious. Is my favorite place and every time I visit my brothers I have to visit this amazing taco place that I recommended 100%.

I can't praise this restaurant enough, I carry their card with me to refer all in the valley because honestly, I'm in love with this place. Legit Mexican restaurants are hard to find in the northeast, but this place is the real deal. Their food tastes similar to the dishes that I eat at my Mexican friend’s family gatherings. I've tried a few things from their menu from their Tacos to burritos, and everything has been perfect. Seriously, just try anything. It will be delicious. I first came here with a group of 6 people and the staff was very accommodating. They helped us push tables together without us even asking. They helped some of us choose dishes. The inside of this place is awesome in the back, but small in the front. It can definitely get crowded easily, and the food can take a while to be ready, they have a limited amount of chefs to the wait time can go for 25 to 30 mins but take my word for it , definitely worth the wait. Overall an ok Tex-Mex place catering to the students at a pricier point for a taco place.

Tacos were the better part of the menu. True mexican tacos made with corn tortillas and seasoned meat, onion and cilantro. We tried all of the meat options, most had big chunks of fat mixed in and tend on the dry side too.

The rest of the menu is full on tex mex or americanized mexican. Lots of flour fried tortillas, lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, and sour cream (at least for the burritos and fried tacos). The empanadas on special werent really empanadas, but were basically quesadillas, using fried flour tortillas folded over chicken and cheese. Super expensive for one! I thought it would come with 2 or 3 at the price.

I'm sure they know real mexican cuisine. But currently this place is more tex mex, likely because of the proximity of Lehigh University. Maybe the college students didnt appreciate more authentic flavors.

Far as mexican food goes...there is better in the area (quakertown, doylestown, one tiny place in bethlehem down the street). But I understand this place has to sell to a certain market. Plus they got rated so highly in that national poll by all the lehigh uni votes, likely why the prices are so high for a taqueria.

On the plus side: The employees were super friendly and the food was fresh. Place is cash only but they do have an ATM.

It's Tex-Mex, though. I was really hoping for an authentic mexican place that was super close to me. This is not that.

(Im torn between 2 stars and 3. The employees are 5 stars. The food is not. Ill give it a 3 for...

Biggest pet peeve is they are not debit card accessible. Only cash. With it being 2017, you would think a successful business like that would get with the times. Had to borrow money from a friend plus interest in order to eat that day. The burrito I ordered was too greasy and fell apart way too easily. It was okay to eat but after awhile, I just could not bear it any longer. The price makes sense when you see how huge the food is and how big the serving size is. The whole room gasped at its size. The smell it gave out, wasn’t an unhealthy smell but it wasn’t a very “delicious” smell either. I could not finish my food so I took it home but by the time I got there, the food was giving an utterly disgusting smell that I could not bare any longer and had to throw the expensive meal away. Also gave me stomach pains. The tortilla chips given to us tasted like plastic. The wait time, given the benefit of the doubt I was with a fairly large party that day, still took longer than usual but they were nice at accommodating other food to try in the mean time which was nice. The waiter is a very nice woman and the staff are very nice. Do not confuse my negative response as me hating on the staff but more for criticism on what can be better. The 2 Stars is mostly because they refuse to get a credit card machine. No one carries cash anymore. I love how old fashion the store looks, I really do, but they really need to put a credit card machine in there. Their business would get so much more attention from this one simple fix. If not for that, I would of...
