Kumo Sushi — Restaurant in Bethlehem

I only chose one star because they didn’t allow me to choose none. By far the worst, and rudest place I have been to in the Lehigh Valley. Twice on two separate occasions I visited “TRYING” to get to even place a order. Both times there was no one at their window but me. As I am watching them just sit there and completely ignore that I was there. There is always two guys making the sushi that you can see from the window. They both seen me, and didn’t tell the lady who is also there who just sits on the computer, and converses with them. Both times I just walked away after being brushed off. Total waste of my time. That is extremely rude to see someone is waiting and just pretend you don’t see them. The first time I came with my son, and now again with just myself. I will never waste my time coming here again nor recommend anyone to come and get ignored while they’re just speaking Chinese/ or similar sounding language- completely...

I’ll start with the sushi, it was gross there was nothing fresh about it. It seemed like they used whatever was left out and slapped it together. We were supposed to get 4 rolls of different kinds but instead we got 3 more from the one roll and were left only with 3 for the other roll. It still equaled 24 but it was not evened out. The avocado was about to be brown. The rice was falling apart. The salmon wasn’t tasting right. I can honestly compare it to a buffet sushi. Then I also ordered calamari. The calamari were the worst, first they were supposed to be RING but instead we literally recieved bits and pieces and they were way too hard and at the bottom of the tin the calamari’s were burnt I wanted to cry because I spent 69$! Just please be aware what you get. I ordered through door dash as well. And I didn’t want them blaming the delivery person so...

Ordered Takeout. These prices beat any other sushi restaurant I've visited, and that's great considering I'm a sushi connoiseuir.

Takoyaki: It was pretty good! But no kewpie mayo, just okonomiyaki sauce and bonito flake. It almostttt would have been perfect.

Chirashi: I loved (most) of the selection, it looked well thought-out & fresh, but 9 out of the 21 of my pieces were cheap & most likely unwanted scraps. Fake crab stick, tiny pieces of Tamago & Shrimp. These sashimi a la carte are usually the cheapest things on the menu, like whyyyyy the fake crab 😐 Once again, almost perfect, just a few mehs about it.

Miso: No seaweed, no scallion, JUST broth. Not bad miso, but not phenomenal miso.
