I’ve never seen a greater decline in any establishment in my entire life. I once wrote this place a 5-star review. My husband and I ordered from here three times a week for like two years and loved it. My review had went from 5, to 3, to 2 and now 1. Now we use it as a “last option” and just hope for the best. It disappoints every single time. I think this was my last time ordering. The order is never correct. I ordered scrambled eggs and they were over easy. The medium rare steaks that both my husband and I ordered were OVER well done and dryer than a desert. The extra crispy hashbrowns were soggy. Years ago we used to order the same thing for half the price and it was correct and delicious. Everything has doubled in price and the quality has gone down tenfold. Even their delivery has gone to crap. Their old driver always used to have change. Now even when I specifically tell them on the phone that I’ll need change they never bring it. Last time I told them I’d need change for $100 bill on a $40 order. The lady on the phone didn’t tell the driver so I had to just trust him to come back with my money or wait while he ran back with the food and came back and then ate my food cold. How inconvenient for him and me! He was very sweet and came back but if the idiot on the phone had just told him it wouldn’t have been an issue. I hate to say it because this place used to be the absolute best,...
Read moreI had never been to this joint before today, but everything was fantastic. I had kind of a goofy order. I ordered for myself and three of my friends. In total, we got a bacon, egg and cheese croissant with home fries covered in cheese and mushrooms, Chipotle carnitas with french fries, a chicken quesadilla, and for myself I got an order of steamed clams and fish and chips.
The BEC croissant sandwich is HUGE. My friend ate the heck out of it. I mean the thing was almost laughably large, in a very good way.
The fish and chips were SO good. The fries they use are....how do I describe it? They have that rough texture on the outside but are super crunchy and then soft on the inside. I wish I knew the style of fries they're called because they are by far my favorite type of french fry.
The fish was well battered and fried and also a very ample serving portion. The tartar sauce was also amazing. I'm not sure if it's made in house or not but if it is, great job.
I will absolutely be getting takeout from this place again the next time I'm in Center city Bethlehem.
Cost to fill up 4 very hungry bellies: $66. Wish I had taken pictures but I was too hungry 🙂
Also - within 30 seconds of entering I had 3 different people ask if they could help me, all while the place was pretty packed. My order was to go....
Read moreWent there today for some food. Went during slow hours, our server was attentive and on the ball, keeping up with our table and making sure our drinks were filled and we weren't bogged down by empty plates. We had the empanadas as an appetizer, excellent filling and the shell was that perfect mix of crisp and hearty. My friend had the sibris burger with some mods, had it rare. They said it wasnt the best burger they ever had, but the flavor profile was spot on and the fries are the best we had in the area. I had breakfast two eggs over easy with home fries and toast, eggs were perfectly done and the home fries were just how I remember them from berks County. Menu is large with a lot of influences, mainly Spanish and Greek and American, but from what we had it was all executed well. Calm atmosphere, small dining room but a perfect place to go if you're looking for a nice diner in Bethlehem with a diner menu you can't go wrong here. Prices are fair and cheap enough that a few people can have a full meal without breaking the bank. Overall I'd recommend this to friends and family that live in the city, and I'll definetly be back to try their larger breakfast menu...
