INSANELY GOOD. We were looking for really anything to eat after Oktoberfest and it being midnight we didn’t expect much to be open. We saw Lu’s was open till 2am which is probably nice for the bars and clubs after closing. It’s a small spot but very much deserves so much praise. The menu is small which I like since that means the food should be great! Which is was! I got two Carne Asada taco and my partner got the Chorizo and papas tacos. And we shared the Papas Bravas with aioli sauce. Housemade horchata was so good, no ice but it was refrigerated. The sauces to choose from are excellent. She had us try their house made churros and I NEED them everyday now. It was just her and her chef but the service was speedy and the place was spotless. Very stylish and modern. Coming from CA and being in PA for 8 years and I’ve been TRYING SO HARD to find a good taco place and I finally did it! We talked to the Owner Lu afterwards and she deserves her flowers, she owns a smoothie shop as well (love women owned businesses) and she’s just so down to earth and awesome. While the location isn’t the best (hard to find) Lu makes it work and it’s definitely a spot you do NOT want to pass it up. I live an hour away but we WILL...
Read moreI've stopped in on a whim while handling some business inside Main Street Commons. The young man who took my order was very nice and provided great service. I've ordered the Al Pastor Taco, a Chicken Taco, and a Mexican Coke in a glass bottle. (The best coke in my book.) I really loved and appreciated the to go box the tacos came in. They have 3 types of house made Salsas which were absolutely delicious. The only constructive critism I have is, that I didn't care too much that the 3 bowls of Salsa are sitting out uncovered right near the door where people walk in and out. It's not the most sanitary way. Maybe the establishment could take into consideration to cover them up somehow. However, I do appreciate the fact that the Salsas are self-serve for the customer to choose which ones they like, as well as to choose the amount of salsa they like. So, kudos on that! When I got into my car, the smell of the tacos was so intriguing, that I couldn't wait to get home to try them. I ended up digging into the Al Pastor right in the car, and the taste was delicious to say the least. All in all, I will...
Read moreI’m leaving this here for hopes of improvements because I was extremely taken back, especially after reading so many reviews of this location. Although for me it did not live up to the hype which is unfortunate. I just feel like with so much competition in this area, literally 5 other Mexican locations within a 1 miles radius of each other, I was hoping this spot would stand out. My first complaint is the over priced food, I get it food cost are going up but $4 a taco when I know it only cost .25-.50 to make is completely outrageous considering it’s only onions and cilantro, let’s move on to the yet again over priced quesadilla, what they call a gringa on their menu, wow when I looked inside and only saw 2 piece for a almost $10 I was flabbergasted seriously and it did not come with any sides no sour cream no salsa no guaca just meat and cheese on a half folded wrap. The meat was also salty for my taste. What I will give them credit for was their salsas that was good but if I’m coming to pick up a Togo to have to sit there and pour my own I found...
