We were sat as a party of six adults and decided it would be a nice place to celebrate my father’s Birthday and Father’s day. The server was absolutely terrible. When she took our order she went around the table and asked if we would like a salad with house dressing or Caesar. Giving the direct impression that the salad was included. So each person gave a dressing. As I was still glancing at the menu I noticed it had an option for house salad and asked her if they were part of the meal. She then said “oh no they are extra”. So you make it out for people to believe they are included and they get surprised when the bill comes? Very deceitful. So I told the table they were not included and half cancelled the salad of which the server looked visible annoyed. The salads came and the server was nowhere to be found. My parents did not like the house dressing and wanted to request a different dressing, again no server. The meals came and my parents had not touched their salads because they couldn’t get a dressing. The server never even noticed nor cared that the salads were not untouched. After the food came our server never came back. One of our family members had no utensils and we had to take a roll from an empty table near ours in order to eat. The server didn’t come back until four of the six people were completely finished. That is absurd. Then she had the nerve to ask if everything was okay. Everyone was almost done. I worked at a high end restaurant while I was in college. In fact I was part of the training staff for new servers and bartenders. The server trying to increase the check by deceitful measures is disgusting and looks bad for an establishment. And her never coming back to the tables, NO. A server should be back at a table within two to three bites of food to ensure that food is cooked and prepared appropriately for a guest and to make sure they have what they need to enjoy the meal. In this case, the server didn’t care. And then the check. Imagine our surprise when the check comes to the table with an automatic gratuity added of twenty percent. The server in no way deserved twenty percent and knowing she was getting the twenty percent automatically was probably why she put in so little effort. There should be a line included to reduce the tip for terrible service. Quite disappointing for what I used to consider a nice family establishment.
And when we complained, their response is we looked at the cameras and found that their server came to the table 9 times. 9 times at a table doesn't mean that it wasn't bad service if you are not there when it is important or when you are at a table being deceitful. to ask about drinks to bring back glasses appetizer delivery 4 second appetizer order 5 salad and entree order 6 bringing salads 7 bringing dinners 8 finally checking coffee delivery and check

Read moreThis place is horrible and shouldn't be open to the public. I was staying in Bethlehem on a business trip and went around (what makes up the city of Bethlehem which is very tiny) looking for a place for my Family and I to have dinner. There aren't too many choices in this little city so we randomly walked into "Mama Nina's. My wife, 6 year old daughter and me shoving a stroller with my 1 year old in it through the tiny entrance, walked into this rundown shoebox just to have the rudest wait staff I've ever seen jump on us. We didn't know where to go cause the place is the size of a gas station bathroom. Anywho This waitress walked up to us really fast without greeting or welcoming us and said with a nasty attitude and tone of voice, "You have to collapse your stroller and get it out of the way". I immediately wanted to walk out but my wife said lets sit in the corner where the stroller isn't blocking the entrance and another waiter (seconds after the waitress had Hitlered us) runs up to us and tells us with an attitude "You have to collapse the stroller or put it over there by the counter" like if we didn't hear Helga the waitress 2 seconds ago. I guess they couldn't wait a minute for us to get settled in, take our winter coats off and take the baby out of the stroller. I got the impression that they wanted me to fold up the stroller with the baby in it. Well that was the last straw. My wife told them to their miserable and bitter faces, "Why are you so rude and unfriendly ?" Then the waitress said "What ? ... (now she's gonna back pedal) and I jumped in and say "Yes you are rude and unfriendly, this ain't Germany Hitler for you to come off like that. The whole staff by the counter was giving us dirty looks. I had enough and started trying to turn the stroller around, it was so hard cause this place is so tiny. So I finally turned the thing around and my Family and I walked out. I thought about going back and complaining to the manager or even owner but something told me, for the wait staff to get away with being so rude the Owner has to be the one the wait staff got their hospitality industry training from and trying to reason with him would be a mistake and judging by the many bad reviews on here it speaks for itself. I can't believe a place like this is still in business but I imagine not for long cause it was a Saturday at 5:30pm and the place was empty, 3 tables were occupied only and that's a bad sign. They were treating us like outside there was a mile of people waiting to get in and we were in the way LOL, good luck hotshots. We didn't get to taste their food but I can only imagine how delicious it has to be if the cook in the Kitchen is as angry as the wait staff. My advice is "if you like being treated like dirt Mama Nina's is the...
Read moreWe had reservations for Wednesday. We called ahead to reserve for 6 people. The customer service really is just horrible, we walked in and immediately the guy was extremely rude when approaching us. 3 of our members went in first to get the table, while the other 3 were about 15-20 mins away. The guy was not too enthusiastic about this and really made it be known. The online hours for Wednesday specifically show they are open until 10:00 PM, we were seated by 7:45/8. The guy comes back and states they now are closing at 8:30, while on the phone (could have been taking other reservations and needed us gone since our whole party has not yet arrived, I told him our members were only five mins out by now it was 8:15 and there was no point in ordering entrees if they were closing at “8:30”) there online hours specifically said 10:00 p.m (and I double checked today and it still states 10:00) he did not approach anyone else in the restaurant with this information, just our table and there were other people in there, it was embarrassing. Even the other workers couldn’t make eye contact with our table, we all felt he was lying and was extremely manipulative. He basically told us to either order our entrees now without our other members of the party or get out. We had just placed an order for appetizers about 5 mins prior! We received them, took only a couple of bits because he wanted us out, paid for it which it came out to 20+ and left and made a reservation somewhere else that had better costumer service and food. He was extremely rude and made that be known to everyone. It was truly upsetting how someone can be so rude and run a business like that. If your hours truly were 8:30 please update them online and do not accept reservations for a later time and then try to rush people into ordering. We called ahead, we were a tad bit early, while our other members weren’t far out, we ordered appetizers and still were treated horribly. This isn’t the first time, I have heard the food is okay, but the customer service here is horrible which just makes the place undesirable to go to. I’m not one to write reviews, but to be that rude to individuals who only wanted to enjoy there meal together was horrendous. Also another side note they charge you for a water bottle, they don’t even have access to water which was also surprising, for a place that is doing “so well” they shouldn’t charge...
