First time here and odds are the last. Upon walking in this place smells amazing. My wife and I were dinning in. Close to 10 people behind the counter no wait staff for the lobby. No biggie. Grab my own menu. No biggie. Ready to order and have to stand in line. The young girl behind the counter looked 12. No biggie. Once ordered it seem to take a while for the payment to go through. No biggie. Later to find out I was double charged. No biggie just asked another lady on the side about the over charge. She was willing to help and asked the guy in the back near the oven ( Steelers hat) about fixing the problem. He asked another guy to take care of (me) the problem. Oh and wouldn't you know I was double-charged. No biggie just fix it. Back to the food. Had ordered a chef salad note a chef salad here consist of lettuce, cheese, olives, pepperoni, tomato, peppers. NEVER knew a chef salad that didn't come with ham, turkey, egg maybe bacon. Salad arrives with no olives. I asked where's the meat!! Young lady said " it has 5 pepperoni on it" LOL!!! She was nice enough to bring a side cup of olives out.The pizza comes out and it's really good. Highlight of the evening and the only reason for the 2 star due lack of the customer service. Other issues I witnessed from (Steelers hat guy) are someone else's issues. Best of luck with your business and I'll take my...
Read moreThis was my second visit to Bexley Pizza Plus. I first visited soon after one of their people won an international pizza contest. I feel about the same about this visit as the first. Their pizza is good, but not great (IMHO). They DO excel with service. The phone order taker was efficient but friendly. The cashier had a great smile and was quick with his processes. The pizza came out of the kitchen almost exactly when they said it would be ready, and it is very close to my house, so very convenient To my dismay, the pizza was a bit less extraordinary. I ordered the Maximum Pepperoni and Philly Cheesesteak pizzas this time around. The "max pep" had a good amount of pepperoni and was pleasantly spicy but lacked moisture - there was a miniscule amount of sauce and the crust was a bit dry and "blah". The white pizza with "Philly steak" did not suffer from the dryness of the red model, but there was barely enough steak to have a small sample of meat on each piece. To me, it tasted good but could have been better. The verdict from me is it is more than OK, but there are better options. My preference is probably more "Columbus Style", similar to Donato's, Massey's or Tommy's, so if that is not your thing, perhaps this institution's product will appeal to you more than...
Read moreMe and a co-worker was at lunch and we decided to try this place for the first time on 7/29/22. I ordered a pizza and a side salad, my co-worker ordered a sub and a side salad. When they brought the salads out it was in a plastic container with just lettuce and 3 tomato's and a pepper. We started laughing because normally when you ask for a side salad it usually has cheese too. a employee walked out and looked at us and we said something about no cheese and his response was did you read the menu? you must have not read it. You need to get the chef salad if you want cheese. We proceed to talk and eat when he pops back out from the kitchen asking sarcastically are we enjoying our food and him and my co-worker had words. He then proceed to walk in the back staring at my co-worker as if he was trying to antagonize him to do something. Nobody should have to pay 4.25 for a small bowl of lettuce and a pepper and tomato. That is a bit much and its not even a lot. I can see 1.50 but 4.25 way too expensive. The pizza was ok, I guess I couldn't enjoy it because of the situation so I got a box...
