I’ve had my fair share of experiences in bars, but The Lion in Bexley stands out as an exceptional gem. This place isn’t just a bar; it’s a creative cocktail sanctuary where innovation meets tradition.

From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the vibrant atmosphere. The decor strikes a perfect balance between cozy and chic, making it an ideal spot for a night out with my wife. The lighting is just right, creating an inviting ambiance that encourages conversation while still being lively enough to enjoy the company of fellow patrons.

What truly sets The Lion apart, though, is its cocktail menu. Each drink is a masterpiece, meticulously crafted with fresh ingredients and unique flavor combinations. I was thrilled to see some of the classic techniques I once dabbled in being taken to new heights. The bartenders are not just mixologists; they are artists, passionate about their craft and eager to share their knowledge. I tried the house special—a delightful blend of seasonal fruits and herbs that danced on my palate. It was clear that every sip had been thoughtfully designed.

One of the highlights of my visit was being able to enjoy the atmosphere while keeping an eye on the football games and baseball playoffs playing on the screens. It’s rare to find a place where the excitement of live sports harmonizes so beautifully with the refined experience of craft cocktails. My wife and I settled into our seats, sipping our drinks, cheering for our teams, and soaking in the vibe.

The Lion is more than just a cocktail bar; it’s a community hub where creativity flourishes, and good times are guaranteed. Whether you’re a cocktail aficionado or simply looking for a great place to unwind, I can’t recommend The Lion enough. It truly deserves its place as the top creative cocktail spot in Bexley. Cheers to many more nights spent enjoying this...

Deceptively small from the outside, walking in you can see the use of space has been utilized unbelievably well. The high ceilings and decor make the space feel so much bigger.

The cool vibe atmosphere hits you as soon as you walk through the doors and you are welcomed by a charming and engaging staff who treat you like you were a regular.

The drinks are hand crafted and delicious. The bottles of mixtures look like something out of a potions class from Harry Potter. The flavors, the dry ice are all part of the pageantry.

The wine and beer collection clearly have been thoughtfully curated, with a something for everyone mentality.

The unique seating arrangement and position of the TV's allows those who want to watch the game and those that want to talk, an equal amount of opportunity.

The hours allow for a great pre dinner drink or an after dinner night cap vibe that doesn't close at 9pm.

Great place to catch up with friends or on a date night.

The price point adds to the all round value and makes the Lion a must for...

As a Bexley resident, I can’t say enough about how The Lion has added something special to our neighborhood. My wife and I love slipping away here every so often, and it’s become our go-to for a quiet evening out. The ambiance is just right – there’s this cozy, upscale feel that makes you want to settle in and savor each drink.

We’ve enjoyed exploring the cocktail menu, especially since it offers a great mix of classic favorites and some really inventive options. I still remember the first time I tried the ā€˜Corn’ cocktail; it’s surprisingly smooth and leaves a warm, lingering finish. My wife’s favorite is the ā€˜Where Are We?’ – she loves the touch of sake with the snap pea flavor, which somehow feels like the perfect match for The Lion’s easygoing yet refined vibe.

It’s refreshing to have a place like this close to home, where we can unwind together without the hassle of going downtown. If you haven’t tried The Lion yet, it’s well worth a visit, especially if you’re in the mood for a memorable cocktail and a...

The Lion is already a true part of the neighborhood. Opens for coffee in the morning. The coffee and pastry program is top notch. We also love to stop in for a happy hour drink en route to dinner plans. Cocktails are great - Dealer's Choice is the best. And then - to top it all off - there are frequently some pretty great live music options... hip harp? (it's real and worth checking out)... lately Wednesday night blues with local/national icon Hadden Sayers also amazing. The whole thing is a gem. Fantastic addition to Main Street.
