I regret to write this review about my recent dining experience at Piadas, a pasta restaurant. My wife and I had high hopes for an enjoyable meal, but unfortunately, our visit turned out to be quite disappointing and concerning.
From the moment I arrived, I noticed a lack of cleanliness and attention to detail. The restaurant's overall hygiene left much to be desired, which was already a cause for concern. However, what transpired during our meal was even more distressing.
As we were dining, we observed the staff handling our food in an unprofessional and unsanitary manner. It appeared that they were not following proper food handling protocols, which is highly troubling and potentially hazardous to customers' health. Witnessing the disregard for food safety was not only off-putting but also raised serious questions about the restaurant's commitment to maintaining hygiene standards.
To make matters worse, it seemed that our food had been tampered with. Just by the fact that girl decided not to wear gloves. Both my wife and I had concerns about the integrity of our meals. This left us feeling extremely uncomfortable and distrustful of the establishment. When dining out, one expects their food to be prepared and served with the utmost care and respect for hygiene standards, but sadly, this was not the case at Piadas.
We immediately brought our concerns to the attention of the restaurant staff, hoping for an explanation or resolution. However, their response was dismissive and lacked the empathy and concern that one would expect in such a situation. The lack of accountability and failure to address our concerns only added to our disappointment.
Given our experience at Piadas, we cannot recommend this restaurant to others. The overall lack of hygiene, questionable food handling practices, and apparent tampering with our meals have left us with a deep sense of unease. We believe that maintaining food safety and customer satisfaction should be paramount in any dining establishment, and unfortunately, Piadas fell short on both fronts.
As patrons, we deserve to feel confident in the cleanliness and integrity of the food we consume. We hope that Piadas takes our feedback seriously and takes immediate steps to improve their practices to ensure the well-being and satisfaction of their customers. I would like to add I also at one point found a piece of mulch in my food at this location. Very disgusting and the mishandling of food was the icing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery disappointed in my recent experience with a place I use to frequent. I ordered my Piada online, as I typically do. Went to the drive thru window to pickup. The staff member asked for my name and told me it would be a wait, they just started making my food. I was fine with it, 15 mins go by and he comes back to the window asks for name again and says he doesn't see my order in the system. I look at my phone and realize I didn't see an email saying it was received although when I placed the order on my computer it said it was confirmed. I told the staff member this, he apologizes and says to write my order down and they will get it figured out. As I was writing, another staff member (assuming a manager, short younger white man with a beard) comes to the window and tells me he can't place the order without me paying first. When I know for a fact that is not how Piada usually does business. I HAVE ORDERED ONLINE AND THRU THE DRIVE THRU MORE TIMES THAN I CAN COUNT. No one has ever told me I had to pay before they even make my food. I told him this and he insisted I was wrong. I felt he was implying I didn't have the funds to purchase this food so I left promptly and won't be returning. He was so rude and unprofessional and maybe racist because I really do not understand being treated this way over a simple error that easily could've been remedied. I just wanted my favorite meal from one of my favorite restaurants in Bexley and it ended up becoming a complete waste of my time. I unfortunately won't be frequenting this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNormally we have good service here... but 2-3 days ago we went and every staff member did something Wong. (I use to work here as well just at the easton location) the person on the "stone" as we would call it at piada had a sour not so nice look on her face, an airpod in, and almost forgot our seasoning and oil on the piada, as well as rushing. My boyfriend and I both asked for double crispy and she didn't say it loud enough for the cook to hear as well as he wasn't in his position. The next girl could barley hear me and knew we both ordered double crispy which that was from the girl on stone telling them. She finished our piadas and all of them including the cashier knew by now we were waiting on our meat to be put on the chef got back they still were quite our food sat on the counter with the vents blowing right on it for over 10min. Before someone finally said something to the chef (because they could tell I was getting irritated) and I could not find the chef (the manager that we actually would call them at work not the behind the counter cooking chef) to explain my frustration with. In the end we waited over 10min. For just the protein for our meals and weren't even offered a drink (which we would have been told to do with how long that customer has been waiting.) I would have given a higher rating if the last service didn't upset me so much knowing the business...
