Johnson's Real Ice Cream — Restaurant in Bexley

This was my 1st time eating here and was excited until my encounter with the Manager Corbin. Now over looking the lines because they were having a birthday party I didn't mind. Me and guests ordered sandwiches salads and shakes. The cashier explained to me the grill is off after 3pm but I could order a sandwich what i got was unexpected a cold Corn beef sandwich. Literally the bread was cold and stiff 3 thin slices of corn beef and a cold thick piece of swiss cheese. It was inedible. I ask if could exchange for something different maybe a salad something equal in value for the money I spent. Not a refund just something to eat for my money. After Corbin told me he could not because he would lose money on that and no restaurant does that (which is untrue) after a argument he gave me a side salad. As he uttered to other coworkers about not losing his job to provide customer service. Needless to say after two watery shakes and two cold sandwiches I was done with this. But I ordered a shake from second shift staff which was well prepared and delicious. Which leads me to believe it's not the policy of Johnson's to provide bad quality food and customer service. Unfortunately I definitely will not be back I could have blown $37...

Have visited and enjoyed many times over the years. Sometimes things just don’t click. That was today.

Visited began with a vehicle exiting the tight parking situation via the entry. Doing so slowly and all over the drive.

Great as usual greeting on entry. Ordered a hot fudge sundae. First attempt by male server turned out to be too much ice cream and an overflowing abundance of fudge. Looked like a creation by a kid. He threw that out and went for a banana sundae container

Ugliest and poor quality sundae I’ve had. One scoop of cookies and cream. That turned out to be stringy? The concoction pulled apart rather than slicing cleanly with the spoon. Huge splat of whipped cream that did nothing for the presentation.

Great amount of hot fudge. In all a sad soggy thing. At least the ice cream was cool. The hot fudge great tasting in moderation.

I had the ingredients but not the value

A note of interest. Take a look at your dining area and customers in the supposed four people booths. There is enough space in that area to enlarge them to allow four real papyri fit. Maybe a right die for kids and thin teens....

A popular local favorite ice cream shop I’ve never made it here for lunch. It was a steady flow of customers clearly well liked. The service was great lovely people fast service my meal for roughly $12 was generous and healthy and fresh made. Tuna on wheat, I dumped the 2oz pasta that came with on the larger green salad. All a good delicious easy lunch. I really appreciate the Johnsons has nondairy ice cream I can get in a scoop or a small quantity without having to buy a pint. Pleasant atmosphere. I did four stars not five because the place needs a serious wipe down a really good scrub mopping tables and ledges wiped off really good a really good scour through. I understand staffing is hard but you can pay a third-party company to come in here and give this a good scrub top to bottom. The outside patio is so nice to sit at it has shade and a dog water bowl and you can do the walk up window to bring your dog for an ice cream “pup cup” Its easy to understand why this is a popular local favorite spot a little polish would be so...
