So I wasn't going to write a review but when I checked the existing reviews I saw a lot of the same sentiment spread out over time.
I made the supreme mistake of asking them to hold the foam on my latté.
First I arrived to a lobby with 8 or 9 waiting people, no big and then I did a lil woohoo dance once I realized they were all waiting for pick-up, so I walked right over to the POS. I got some smiles from crew covering drive thru I assume when they walked by me to grab things from the donut case, but no acknowledgement that I was a waiting customer. A fact made weirder by the number of times I hear walk in yelled behind the counter as other people came and went, either joining the waiting or grabbing from the mobile pick-up shelf. After being ignored for several minutes I saw the order kiosk and decided to use that because I only had so much time before work.
After I ordered I snuck up to the pickup counter and told the crew member sorting tickets that the kiosk wouldn't let me edit "No Foam" and I fixated which order was mine.
Her first response was, I kid you not, "Hold the Phone?" And I said no "Hold back the foam when you pour the milk' and SMILED (I cannot stress enough that I was fully controlling my rbf here) Then she stomped away surprisingly petulantly and said to someone out of sight that "You can hold foam on a latte what is he talking about about"
I listened to an ECHO CHAMBER of "You can't hold the foam" from the crew. Apparently one person knew and she was started handling it and I began to make a joke about how much convo was happening over the foam (and because I didn't know she was doing it, bc her words to the crew sounded like she was part of the echo chamber not the member taking any action I was going to say don't worry about it) but she immediately said "Yeah, there was a lot of conversation about it" with a heavy amount of "what's your problem" being directed my way. I didn't finish the second half of my statement.
Fun side note I've never heard my name pronounce that way at a coffee counter there's only so many ways to...
Read moreLet me start by saying I have 4 years experience at Dunkin and 6 at Starbucks in leadership. Whenever I go and (I believe) the manager is at the window, she always gives the most attitude whenever I ask for something. I have asked for my latte to be remade because it was ice coffee and not espresso and she argued with me and would not remake it or take it back, so I just left. Another time, she forgot to give me a bag of food and she rolled her eyes and grabbed it and just handed it out the window saying nothing. Then today, I said 3 strikes and you’re out. I pulled up and she greeted me nicely and told me my order total. I asked her to load $10 in cash onto my phone app very kindly. She immediately changed her body language and she rolled her eyes and snatched the $10 out of my hands saying nothing. She stood there doing or for quite a while, which in my experience, it takes a button push or two to just simply load money onto a phone app. Then, she just scanned my phone and started handing me bags, again, not speaking to me at all and passing everything with an attitude. She handed me my latter and quickly went to close the window, and I asked for the apple juice I ordered and paid for. She went back to look at her screen as if I was lying and did not order and pay for it. She grabbed one out of the fridge and handed it to me, and sarcastically said “have a GREAT day” and I drove off. Even my 7 year old son said “why was she so rude mama” which is why I’m posting this. The fact that my child is even picking up on the bad vibes means more people probably feel this way about this employee and don’t speak up. I have had INCREDIBLE experiences with other staff there. So kind, so helpful, SO polite, so if it is the manager, at least she hires a good crew to make up for...
Read moreI ordered through the app. I was on my way to work. I realized when I got here, that I had done my order as a walk-in. I ended up in the drive-through. It was quicker and I was on my way to work. When I told him I was here to pick up a mobile order and I gave them the order number in my name, I also told her that I may have done it as a walk-in order instead of a drive-through order. She proceeded to tell me that they were too backed up then I had to come inside. A little annoyed but whatever. I proceed to go through the drive-through and go around and I had to sit there for almost 5 minutes because there was a backup of traffic. I don't see why she couldn't just turn around walk about 15 feet grab my stuff and hand it to me. What was the big deal? I go inside anyway. They were busy. But the glaring look I got from the girl at the drive-through? Not necessary. It's not hard to say in a nice way for me to come inside in the future if that's the way I'm setting up my order. Not to mention my coffee wasn't made right either. This is a common thing with them. So I won't be frequenting this Dunkin' Donuts ever again. These girls here need a serious attitude adjustment. Maybe go find a better job or you're not making 16 bucks an hour. Rather than take it out on customers who pay to utilize your restaurant when they can go to plenty other places that are just as good...
