Arroyo Grill — Restaurant in Big Spring

I recently dined at Arroyo Grill and had a somewhat mixed experience. The atmosphere and decor of the place is undoubtedly pleasing, and the service was generally prompt, but the food left a little to be desired.

I ordered a steak medium-cooked, looking forward to savoring it at its juicy best. Unfortunately, the steak arrived well-done, which was not what I had in mind. Upon bringing this to the attention of our waitress, she graciously had it returned to the kitchen to be cooked again.

However, the replacement steak was still well-done and seemed to be overcompensated with additional seasoning, making it rather salty. I appreciated the prompt response to my request, but the execution fell short of my expectations.

Despite this, the potential for a good dining experience at Arroyo Grill is certainly there. Perhaps a little more attention to the details in fulfilling specific customer requests could elevate the experience to match the restaurant's appealing ambiance.

In conclusion, while my visit to Arroyo Grill wasn't the best, it wasn't the worst either. I'm hoping that they can iron out these minor issues and deliver a more satisfying dining experience...

The server Adrienne was very rude. She had a crappy attitude. She came to the table to ask if we needed appetizers and I said we are ready to order. My sister said she wanted poppers and she went to turn order in. Then she was talking in the corner. I finally called her over and said we are ready to order. She replied that she was waiting on the poppers I told her I didn't want to wait for the poppers. I wanted to place my order. When I ordered for my husband. He got the enchilada plate and I told her he didn't want his sauce spicy and she replied none of them are spicy. Yes that plate was very spicy. I ordered the hamburger steak and although It was good I couldn't enjoy it because I switched plates with my husband so he could have something to eat. I didn't want enchiladas. But was I supposed to eat and let my husband not eat. He has a sensitive stomach. I had heard this was the best place in town to eat, so we stopped in on date night. First thing when we walked in, we was greeted and seated by a friendly guy. Sit down and wait 5 minutes for our waitress to acknowledge us, which was fine. The problem is my husband asked for a beer, and since I was not ready, she just ignored his request. Another 5 to 10 minutes went by, and she came back n we both ordered a drink and appetizer. By then, we had been given chips n salsa (salsa so hot it can barely be eaten). We sat there another 10 minutes before our drinks came out. Then another 20 minutes for food , and the whole time, our waitress never comes to check on us. When we were served our food, the food was mediocre. At best and there are for sure other restaurants in town that have better for the price u pay. I ask for a napkin and never got one.
