I have never been more disappointed in a place of business in my life. I had family over Saturday night for my aunts birthday and decided to order online because my son had a basketball game before the party and it was a much easier process to look over the menu and decide what would be best for us. I ordered at 4:30 pm and chose to have it delivered at 6:30 so that way as soon as I got home it would be delivered. Well 6:45 pm rolls around and still no pizza so I called to ask if it was being delivered soon. I was told that they had just got to my order, because the way their online service works, and that it would take at least a hour for my food to be delivered. Mind you I now have a full house of guest with no food, so I asked to be reimbursed for the trouble seeing that I had ordered it two hours prior. I was then put on the phone with the "Manager" and I have never had a worst experience talking to someone in my life. He pretty much told me my order wasn't that important and that if i wanted to cancel then to go ahead. I obviously cancelled and called Silvios down the street (they were able to make 4 pizzas for me in 15 minutes!). After calling I was than given a call by another employee who was very respectful and nice and who should be given a raise for working with that moron of a manager. He gave me a number to their online company they use to cancel my order. I did call that number and I was told by the billing operator that the restaurant had to cancel it and that whoever told me that clearly does not know how to do their job! Such a joke...so i called strombolis back and the poor kid who answered had to play telephone and finally told me I would be reimbursed sometime tomorrow. I will never dine with this restaurant a day in my life again and I will tell everyone and anyone to never dine there again. Worst experience and that "Manager" should be fired immediately for...
Read moreHow the mighty have fallen. Used to love this place and order here all the time until my workplace changed in 2016. Well, my office just moved back to Billerica last month only to find that Stromboli's has taken a turn for the worst. Ordered a steak tip sub, description said "add mushroom, pepper, onion" on the site, and I requested medium tips in the text box. Well I got a thin little sub roll with five tough, charred little chunks in it. I called up to see what was up and was told that the description just means I can add those things if I want. Even though there is no checkbox on the site for 2 of those 3 items. I could request anything reasonable that they have, why would I need to see three random recommendations that aren't even listed in the checkboxes? Regardless, the tips were not medium as properly requested, they were cooked right through and very tough. Hands down the saddest sub I've seen in my life. And calling was useless, they didn't offer to swap it or comp me for the disappointment or send me a little container of fried veggies to toss on it or anything, just said good luck next time. I have ordered here many times before with no issues and tonight I was absolutely floored with the customer service we received. They made a mistake in our delivery order (which we already waited an hour for) when we called back we were told we could wait another hour or get a credit for the next time we order. We told them that neither of those options were appropriate, and instead of trying to accommodate for their mistake they were rude and extremely inappropriate. We were told they couldn’t refund our card because there was no one closing the store that had the ability to do so (how can you have a store that doesn’t have someone closing who can also process a refund) and were told to call back tomorrow to speak to a manager. After this experience I will never be doing business here again and will be spreading the word to all of my family and friends to do the same.
