I used to enjoy going into the casino However it's less and less I've been going in While most of the attendants are good the loud sometimes drunken conversations of current employees including restaurant managers where they talk down on current and former coworkers definitely create a cliquey vibe The last three Tuesday nights I have gone in have been staffed by the only male casino attendant I have given him the benefit of the doubt for the most part but I think I will probably just go elsewhere as well as recommended other establishments Walking in the entire casino was a mess There were 3 gamblers scattered in the room playing There were several chairs piled up in front of some games while at least 3 machines had no seating There were empty glasses and beer btls scattered around as well Not a huge deal to grab a chair and move it and I get not having a chance to grab glasses and garbage but when the attendant is just standing at the bar chatting with a waitress seems like he was not as interested in the floor as much as the conversation Getting a drink took longer than it should with such a slow night being told he had left it sitting on the bar. He did not walk around the room after dropping my drink, while he again became engaged speaking to a female patron for several minutes before disappearing again Cashing out two tickets I went to the bar to turn them in but nobody was around. Waiting 10 minutes and still not seeing anyone I decided to use the restroom In the Unisex Restroom outside the casino and dining room I went to blow my nose and found no toilet paper Thinking I'll just wash my hands and use a paper towel I was very glad to see there was also no paper towels, Consistency. Drying my hands off as good as I could on my pants I go back out to the bar with my tickets. I wait another 10 minutes before he pops out of the office. It's only 1030 pm at this point so hour and half till close and by now there are 5 others in the casino Takes him a cpl minutes to get the cash and I used this time to decide that as much as I had enjoyed going to the casino and seeing some of the employees the current situation leaves much to be desired and feels like deja vu from back in the Rockpile days and what it was like before it closed. I am aware it's a casino but unless the staff makes an effort to show they want to be there and have the customers there why wouldn't they go elsewhere Billings has plenty of casinos and most of them are glad to have...
Read moreWanted to try somewhere new for our birthday celebration and chose here. First the service was terrible. We ended up spending an 1 3/4 hours here on four meals. The waiter only came to our table 2 times after we got sat down. After we got our first beer and ordered our food our waiter didn’t return to our table for 45 minutes and we had to ask someone to find him.
The food timing was terrible too. My meal came with a side salad that came out wrong and I had to find the waiter to correct it. Then when our meals came up an hour later and only 2 of the 4 came out right away. 2 in our party were able to eat nearly their entire meals before the last 2 meals came out and with no drinks, not even water. We also had to go find our own condiments. Of our meals only 1 was good. The other 3 said theirs was only ok, and came only luke warm. Again our waiter never checked with us.
After finishing our meals we had to ask again for our waiter to bring the check and at that point we asked him stand there as we closed out so we didn’t have to chase him down again. Needless to say we did not leave a good tip.
We then went to the calsino for a minute before heading to our next destination. The casino host was very friendly and prompt. She even tried to make an excuse for the bad service. On our way out, the waiter that helped us glared at us. I have spent many years in the service industry and believe tips need to be earned and not expected. The fact that he got anything from our group is because we don’t believe in not giving something. Our waiter did not do a good job with us. Not sure we will...
Read moreThe staff is great. Sat at the bar, bartender was nice and attentive. So I had the ramen...maybe it was my fault for thinking I could get good ramen here but the bartender said it was really good. If the ramen was called “Bad Chicken Soup” on the menu you would be less disappointed but you still wouldn’t like it. Maybe whoever came up with this dish for the menu has never had ramen and just read about it somewhere? That’s the only way I can see someone justifying calling what I got ramen...it’s bad, the noodles are bad, the broth is overly salty but in a way that provides no other flavor, and the egg had the flavor fried out of it too (why would you do that?) If anyone that has any influence at this place reads this, please, take the ramen off the menu or fix it. At $14 it’s an absolute crime and offensive to ramen everywhere.....................................
Response to Owner: Because I wanted it? Why not? When I travel it’s usually long term and I like a variety of food so what’s your point? And it sounds like your response to your ramen being bad is that I shouldn’t have expected it to be good. Clearly my fault. Why should you be responsible for the quality of your food? How silly of me. If your standard for your food is “good enough for Montana but not good” I think the community should be offended and you probably shouldn’t have...
