I did not take a picture of the food was too hungry. The first visit I got the Liver and onions. Now I do not expect to get my grandmother'a version. I do expect the liver to be fully cooked and seasoned well. If you do not know how to cook it then do not serve it. That is my philosophy. I like liver and onions a lot. The vegetables and corn bread were delicious and seasoned well. The establishment was clean outside and I side. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They made suggestions and chatted with you about different dishes. They worked as a team. Great energy and synergy. The cakes and pies were visible, so you could decide what you wanted. First time visiting the location and I was very happy with the meal I had, ordered the Salisbury Steak (Hamburger steak they call it) with Black Eyed Peas and rice and it was a very comforting meal, got a piece of fried chicken and that was good too, corn nuggets were delicious the hush puppies were not my thing they were missing something to really elevate it. Four stars because Nikis is still open. This is better than most meat and 3. Portions are LARGE. Value is great. In Magic City lingo its not as good as Ted's or Nikis, generally better than Johnny's.
