Google has 3 parameters for stars. Here, on atmosphere I gave 3 because folks need to see the best Bodega/Supermercado Ever. Always nice folks. Delicious food. Why do you have to climb 127 feet in stairs between three shops? Um...that's a 3rd world introduction without Montezumas Revenge. Things are more difficult elsewhere. Lo Siento. Anyway...Go in at 10:30 am on a weekday. Have cash and start at the highest door. Buy two boxes of pastries. Point and smile if no espanol. Cream horns and anything with cinnamon or chocolate. Remember, these people invented chocolate. Go down the stairs and get tacos if you're solo. If you have friends get a pound of lamb and a pound of something else. Get lengua and tell your friends it's pot roast. Ask for clamshells and load them up at the condiment bar. Ask for a stack of maize tortillas. Be a hero. Lower floor isn't...

It’s been a while since I’ve left a review anywhere, but this place was definitely an exception.

The food is so flavorful, and filling that it’s easy to eat it all in one sitting, but get any more than one thing, and you’ll have some difficulty putting it all down because you end up as Gordo “Fat” and Happy really quick, after the first, second, third, etc. bite!

I’m from Arizona, and it’s not often you find a place within a location that serves as authentic, cuisine from as close to home as you can, all the way out here in Birmingham, AL.

I may not visit B’Ham often, but next time I stop through, you know where to find me!

Bakery, Market, and Grill - This place has a very high reputation with my friends and me. Food from the grill is genuine Mexican cuisine that will make your mouth water the second you walk through the door. Staff is polite and kind, food is ready at taco truck speeds, and the place is kept pretty clean. The Bakery is a delight too: competitively priced goods that taste so good you feel like a kid in a sweetshop. Can't speak for the Market section of the place too much as I mainly go for the Bakery and Grill. Bakery Items are paid for in the Market. Overall I really love this place and I eat here whenever I'm in the area. Steak Tortas...
