I was in the Homewood Waffle House earlier this month June 9th, around 11:13pm. I had a chicken or bacon, egg, cheese biscuit, I ask my egg be scramble, when I got home, I live on Greenspring so not far, biscuit was in pieces, it looked like a scrambled mess, I was charged 11:71, including my 3:00 tip. My ticket does say biscuit of any kind, it says1 Togo check 7.25, togo service .73, togo supply fee .73, tip 3.00, subtotal 7.25, other 4:46, inclusive tax .66, payment 11.71. I ask them why I was charged 8 dollars for a biscuit, they gave me a cray cray answer about inventory. I imagine they were stealing or taking advantage of other people too. Waffle house used to be great, I used to go several times a week. Maybe I need to go in the day time. See if they are as bad as the night crew. Same night my daughter paid 18.00 for breakfast special, bacon, grits, scramble eggs no cheese, waffle, I cant think of its name. Neither one of us had a drink. Go in the daytime, maybe you will have a better experience. 7/31/23 I went back around 10:15, just two men, one black cooking, and one wht, I had a bacon, egg, cheese biscuit, egg scrambled not fried. I was there Saturday night and the cashier was so busy trying to boss the grill cooks and call a supervisor she left orders sitting on the counter uncovered to make the call. after I asked her can she check to see if that was my order so I can leave she put her finger up and told me to wait. Then proceeded to tell the manager on the phone that she got a full house but the cooks keep stopping to clean. mad because the cook stopped cooking to clean the grill off.... which by the way is the right thing to do health wise. Mean while 3 orders are sitting in the counter getting cold. The cook told her just call your orders. She refused. Big mess all the while ppl are coming in for dine in. After 10 or 15 minutes and her not taking any orders a guy walked to register and asked was somebody going to wait on him. Then they told him and everyone else sat down oh we not taking no more dine in. Horrible service... I haven't been there in over a year and I won't be back. It's always horrible. If you can't work under pressure find somewhere else to work.... The cops was handing the safest and best way they could.... cashiers should stay in their lane.... please don't ever name this chick a manager. Her crew gonna Call in and quit ...
Read moreMy first time here was great. I was in and out after dining in. Today though, I'm not sure what is going on. It seems to be only one waitress working when it's plenty more in the back. I came in after one family. Mind you the place isn't as packed as it was the first time I came. I was never acknowledged. The people that came in after me sat in the same sectionn and were greeted and told they would be with them shortly. I still received no acknowledgement. A cook eventually came over to check on me after the waitress went to assist the people that came in after me. Everyone that came in after me was acknowledged. I'm giving 2 stars only off the strength of the cook who had to eventually take my order. Being in the service industry, I leave a tip regardless because I know how it can get, but this is an inexcusable experience. I'd excuse it if I was at least greeted and if it was at least busy and if other workers who could be helping weren't just having social hour in the back. Do better. If I tip, I need it to go...
