A family member recommended this place. OriginalI got excited and Google’d the location. When multiple locations returned within miles of me I was reluctant to go. Then I passed one and saw smoke coming out from an exhaust on the roof. Okay maybe just one stop?
The menu is deep with options. The pricing is fair for the quality. The staff was warm welcoming and helped us to navigate our menu options. The manager was in the floor engaging with customers. Not in a “how was your meal today?” way, but in genuine conversation with several tables. The food was delivered in around a ten minute span. This is great for hot food at a BBQ joint. Everything tasted wonderful. I ordered rib tips. They were a bit fatty but the meat was plentiful too, they were outright huge. The sauce was a decent BBQ sauce, not overpowering, but it didn’t taste mass produced like the sauce at many other BBQ chains. We didn’t opt for sides. We had the French fries included and they were steak fry style and cooked to near perfection. My wife purchased the 3 bone rib sandwich. It’s pictured below. Those are not mini slices of bread, those are three enormous bones!
Overall this was a great experience and I would go again and recommend it to others who don’t feel like cooking their own that day, because in the end most of us feel that the best always comes from our own...
Read moreI started eating Full Moon years ago as a member of a local teacher's union. Every month at our membership meeting, we had Full Moon to cater the meal that we fed the lucky souls that showed up. Fast forward to today, and they are still on my favorite BBQ place list. I usually get the white meat chicken off the bone plate or the pulled pork sandwich with macaroni and cheese and baked beans. I'm never disappointed. The food is consistently yummy in my tummy, fresh and cooked to order piping hot. They have some of the best sweet tea you ever want to taste and the carrot cake is always a must. I truly love the food here. So why not 5 stars you ask? Full Moon, albeit tasty, is not that easy on your pockets. You get a decent amount of food, but for a casual dining experience- the prices are...well, not budget friendly. I spent $16 on just myself the last time I went. And it didn't even include a drink. But would I spend it again? I sure would! When I want to treat myself to comfort food that makes me smile, I'll eat...
Read moreI have come here many times over the years and my overall experience is that it's hit and miss. Today I got the Chicken and Rib plate, with baby back ribs, fries, greens and extra sauce and a Moon dog no chow chow.
To me full moon has had one of the best sauces, today it tastes kind of watered down. Disappointing. The first time I ever went to a full moon and said I wish I had less sauce.
Ribs and Chicken were just ok. Decent flavor, again, spoiled to me by the sauce mostly. Fries were stale and not hot. Greens were pretty good. The Moon Dog was good, the weird thing about the moon dogs is that when you ask for no chow chow they just wipe it off the hot dog and usually leave little bits left. This happens every time I eat here so I just expect it now. I've had better food from this location and other Full Moon's around. Nothing really tasted fresh. Everything tasted pre-made and like it was just sitting out.
Nothing was terribly bad but I also didn't finish anything.
