Santos Coffee Montclair — Restaurant in Birmingham

Santos is my FAVORITE coffee shop. Was so excited when I learned one was opening close to where I live. I went there their second day opening, wasn't thrilled about the abbreviated menu but ok let's give them time to adjust, second visit a little better, 3rd the same. Now the fourth, one of my favorite drinks is NOTHING like the other stores. I feel like i gave this store a fair chance but I'd rather drive an extra 10 minutes for the products I know and love. I would suggest going to a full menu or borrowing some employees from the other stores. Sorry, hated to have to write this review especially when I love santos so much. I'll try again in a few months I guess.

Store is big enough with no inside dining, just make it a full santos! Hate leaving this review up so I was stopping in to see if anything had changed. Sorry it'll have to remain the same for the time being.

Lobby closed. Ordered egg & cheese biscuit with mocha frappe. The guy asked if I wanted bacon or sausage. I repeated, EGG & CHEESE ONLY. I received a sausage & egg biscuit with a frappe that was so watery and thin I should have ordered iced coffee, lite ice. I showed the guy at the window that he gave me a HARD OVER HEATED sausage egg biscuit and I ordered NO MEAT. He apologized and said that’s right, my apologies! He remade the order and gave me a bacon egg biscuit. I then asked him to repeat my order just making sure he was comprehending. He said egg cheese ONLY no meat biscuit AND FRAPPE. I then showed him the bacon. He said sorry ma’am our biscuits are premade. 🙄 as if he couldn’t have just said that upfront! I told him that could have been a serious issue if I were allergic and had eaten that on accident! Instead of saying he couldn’t fulfill my order, they just gave me what they had! First, I LOOOOVE Santos!! I tried this location (Montclair) since it’s close to my office. I ordered the ham, turkey, & cheese flatbread since I was already in the drive-thru (inside is not open to the public) because they didn’t serve the “healthy savory bowl,” but I’m not sure what I got other than possibly food poisoning. In my box was 1 sad piece of ham cut in half and one spoiled piece of turkey that was also cut in half, with something that resembled either a white sauce or liquidy cheese. They microwaved it so hard (to melt the “cheese” maybe?) that the edges of the meat were tough and dry. I ate about half before I realized what I was putting in my mouth and almost threw up bc of the smell. The turkey was DEFINITELY spoiled and sour smelling, I just hope I don’t get sick.
