I have enjoyed the food at many other Purple Onion locations, but will never return to this restaurant. On my visit there I was asked to park and wait for my food. I waited for 45 minutes! The only reason that I stayed that long is that there was an entertaining child in the next car,, and I enjoyed interacting with her. After 45 minutes the manager came out and announced that they were closing. She brought orders out for other remaining customers, but told me that they had never started on my order. She apologized and pleaded understaffing. She admitted that they should have informed me much sooner that they were unable to complete my order. She refunded my money and invited me to return on another day when she would give me a free meal to make up for the bad.experience. I agreed to give them a second chance and returned a few nights later. The woman at the window that night said that she didn’t know anything about it. She.went on to deny that anyone by the manager’s name had ever worked there. She said that she would have to consult with her manager, because she could not just take my word. The “manager” also denied that the original “manager” had ever worked there. She said that I would have to provide a receipt before she could do anything. So I parked while I went through my purse to find the receipt. When I returned to the window with my receipt there was a third woman who also denied that the woman I had spoken to earlier in the week was an employee. She further indicated that her manager had called the “boss,” who had instructed them to ignore me. She then closed the window and rejoined a group of employees. They began laughing, making faces, and waving/pointing at me. I don’t know what kind of internal problems would result in such inappropriate behavior, but I know that they have lost the business of a longtime customer who was very excited to have anew PO so close...
Read moreI ordered a barbecue chicken baker about 75 minutes ago. I Waited about 25 minutes. When I opened the container it was like someone had left these two potatoes sitting under a heat lamp for way too long while the melted cheese dried out. It had the tiniest drop of sour cream, not a single bit of butter, and not a single drop of barbecue sauce, so it is dry beyond belief. It was served to me without the signature flavor of barbecue: the sauce. Has anyone there eaten at any of the other locations or know the standard they need to achieve? The baker's at all the locations I've been to have been "off the hook" delicious. They had sufficient butter and a generous dollop of sour cream and get this, the barbecue chicken had barbecue sauce on the baker. I am disappointed, dissatisfied, and I wouldn't feed this to my dog, because it's so dry I'm afraid she'd get choked. This location should have the Purple Onion name ripped down off the building, because if this had been my first experience at a Purple Onion location, I would not even give the other locations a chance. Its food is an insulting attempt at what the real Purple Onions make. Owners of other Purple Onion locations take note: you will likely lose future business thanks to the lack of care for the brand name's quality at the Crestwood location. I will not be back to this location. You never get a second chance to make a first impression and this was an abysmal transaction. I'd give you 0 stars if this site...
Read moreFolks, DON'T PAY UNLESS THE PRICE IS RIGHT. I was overcharged for two sandwiches Sunday night and asked the cashier to print the detail receipt which she did. So that should have been a clue to her. I paid, thinking I must have misread the menu. I didn't want to hold up the line. Unfortunate decision. Then (after 19 minutes) when I got the order, I drove back around to look at the drive-in menu in case I had misread it. Nope. The price on the receipt was $3 more per sandwich than what the menu said. My food order was right but I had been overcharged. I was late by that time so didn't get back in line and could not go in because if I recall correctly the lobby was not open. Tried to call a couple days later but no one answered. Left message on FB and on Purple Onion website with transaction numbers, etc. from receipt. No response. (While I was on that site, I saw that another P.O. charges $3 higher for the COMBO, so I think the cashier hit the wrong key and wasn't paying any attention, even when I asked about the price.) So obviously I won't be back. I don't shop where I get cheated / ripped off and no one cares enough to even respond / refund. So enjoy your $6, Purple Onion. When people read this, if a few choose to go elsewhere,...
