The Onyx of Birmingham — Restaurant in Birmingham

This place is cool! It’s set up like a men’s club but it’s not one. Here are my notes

Onyx. 11pm arrival. Only Latino here but nobody cared. Friday. $20 cover. Street parking available. Good crowd and energy. Smoking allowed inside but good ventilation. Music at a tolerable level. You can sit anywhere until someone gets a bottle and wants your spot. Employees are super chill. I would be curious to see this place in the summer with the very clean outdoor pool.

Everyone was friendly and there were some serious cuties here. Nobody in dancer attire. Just people drinking and some girls dancing in street clothes. I’m sure things might change as the night goes on.

Garbage. Will never be back. My friend paid for us to get into the raggedy establishment and the roach...I mean owner really TRIED to be rough with me because I didn’t wait in line. I had to use the restroom and being that I already paid, the SECURITY GUARD gave me permission to cut the line and go on in. As I’m doing what I’m instructed to do, the owner of the establishment grabs me (of course not knowing what was going on.) As I’m attempting to explain to him what is going on he proceeds to inform me “he doesn’t give a f about the people coming to his establishment.” That should tell you enough, take your...

My cousins and I were in town for our other cousin's birthday party and we decided to go here for the after party - it was LIT!!! First of all, they let you pay with cash app if you don't have cash (now I might be a little late...I haven't been out in almost 2yrs but they weren't doing that back in my clubbing days!) so anyways, I loved the atmosphere inside; the lights, music selection, and the pool tables are FREE! Then you go out back - they have an outside bar, a swimming pool °o° and they had a life size Connect Four!! I definitely plan on going back one day...
