We wanted a full breakfast Saturday morning around 9 am. We'll we were informed after entering a few cafes this was the closest only place to go unless we wanted to hike up to The Breakfast club. We should have. Entered to be told our party of 6 to sit anywhere. Started to push tables together and waitress immediately says no these ones. So we helped and sat she took our drink order quickly. Comes back with drinks and after about 10 minutes of us sweating she returns for food order. About 30 minutes later after we see our food has been sitting under heat lamps for over 5 minutes she begins to give us our orders. Nice portions. As we start eating I find my eggs Benedict hard boiled. Ugh...she happened to check on us quickly and immediately says let me have them fix that took my entire plate. Well almost 20 minutes goes by still no eggs Benedict rest of group is done so I cancel my order only to get straight attitude from her. Oh did I mention even though she wrote orders down she had to come back and ask someone oh what was your order I only wrote Hashbrown down. Drinks were not refilled timely she wouldn't check on others and their butter for breads is proportioned less than a dab in togo ramikens. Really pretty stingy. Then when one couple in group goes to counter to get check after another attitude and like 5 minutes she says let me split it and bring it over to everyone. Really we told you upon ordering separate checks. Checks come out wrong she snatched them back. Oh not to mention ice tea and orange juice same price $4.00 really. Never will any of us return to your confused sweat box disco theme establishment that you only get...
Read moreBisbee is a small town, and because of that a lot of places aren't open really early. But thank my lucky stars 'Bisbee Royale' was the only spot I knew of that was open at 8am on a Saturday. The exterior looks like a mix of three attractions: a restaurant, a museum, & a movie theater. I can't say if all three of those things are really in there, it's just an impression. I will say that I am glad I took at chance at trying their food at a time when I was seriously hungry.
I was invited to sit wherever I wanted, so I chose a table along the wall with a big TV right above me. I was greeted kindly, and given time to order my food, which I decided would be a couple fried eggs, hashbrowns, sausage patties, toast, & cheesy grits. They were so good, with the hashbrowns being, as my partner put it, "The best he's ever had!"
I personally enjoyed the patties the most, and the grits the least. The grits were made in a way that the shredded cheese was sprinkled on top of the grits instead of mixed in it, and I do not prefer that style. It was still good, just not as good as others I've tried. So that's why I'm not docking points; why be super critical on one side dish when everything else was an A+?
I liked the wholesome feel of the restaurant, like everybody knew each other, and the fact that it was pet-friendly was a bonus too. A couple came in with three cute dogs, and that just made me super happy (not to mention, it WAS on my birthday too). I would come here again if I...
Read moreParty of 5. Everyone's food was pretty tasty and service by the waiter was great. Although one of our group (who ordered a crepe) didn't get their food until everyone else was done. And none of the benedicts were even close to runny. And one was missing the spinach it was supposed to come with. But understand these things happen. But we will NOT go back when its hot out. As while the AC was running (heat wave, over 100 degree days), they kept the door open. Which not only made it warm inside but worse, let in a TON of flies. They were all over every empty table when we walked in. And while some scattered when we sat down, we still killed a total of 14 until our food came. (Once our table had food plates on it we couldn't slam our hands down on the flies to kill them as we had been. So we just waved our hands over our food so they wouldn't land on it while we ate.) We asked why they had to keep the door open and were told it was so people could see they were open. Which made no sense, as due to the outside walls being dark and it being kinda dark inside (they turned the lights out a few minutes after we were seated... ambience? helps calm the flies?), you couldn't really see that the door was open. But absolutely COULD see the neon "open" sign. The latter should be sufficient to bring customers in. Versus losing them due to the...
